The Gordon Arms

The Gordon Arms is mainly a locals pub but seems friendly enough if you are not one of the regulars. It does seem to cater for the older age bracket and the clientelle seems very male dominated.


The decor is typical pub style, quite traditional. Monday afternoons they have regular entertainment which is great, but can get very busy.


Barstaff are welcoming and service is good. There is a small parking area at the front of the pub but you should be able to find a spot in a nearby road if this is full.


They've recently opened a small outdoor area towards the back of the pub which is nice in the Summer


A friendly place to have a pint and a chat.

From the outside this looks like a big pub. Upon entering it is medium size with one bar. It is a typical pub with mainly locals,but that dosn't mean you wont feel welcome. It is a Copurge pub so serves the usual range of Copurage beers. On Sunday lunchtimes it is very byusy with a widerange of free snacks available on the bar such as roast potatos, prawns & whelks. The barstaff are friendly and attentive and the landlord runs a very good house. Worth having a sunday pint here
