went here with locals and they treated us to fish and chips since we were in london
the good:
- very quaint and english 'feeling' (whatever the hell that means!)
the not so good:
- sadly, the fish and chips were nothing to write home about (hence this review)
- here's a tip, don't order the 'fancy' fish and chips like she did - disappointing :( order the standard ones like me...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Qype User (Diz…)Dartford, Kent27421 Jan 2009
Apparently this is the oldest pub in Chislehurst, but I'm not a great fan of the Queen's Head, it seems quite a young pub and can get busy and a bit rowdy at the weekends. I feel old walking in here sometimes (particularly Friday and Saturday nights) and I'm only in my thirties!
Prices are about average. Food is average.
The interior is nicely decorated in a modern style, and as somewhere to go for a weekday or Sunday lunchtime drink and meal it is pleasant enough.
In the summer it is lovely to sit out the front as it is right next to the duck pond. There is a grassy beer garden area at the back and parking on site too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (wyliec…)London15017 Nov 2008
Have only been here once for lunch and it was OK. Food was pretty average and took a long time to be served, despite the fact that it was a weekday and not very busy.
It can be nice sitting outside watching the world go by at the picnic tables out the front, but not really anything to write home about.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
