Mark Busacca really wants you to know that "museum quality" items belong on his website community. The brick-and-mortar antique shop presents its wares in a gallery (rather than showcase) format, and is a mix of old and new, traditional and eclectic, art and artisanry. We went on my birthday and I fell in love with these tiny bone sets of dominos - I'm talking a box two inches long and a half inch wide - and my beloved bought me a set as a present. Mark had a selection of them, from the utterly gorgeous $800 set to the still-beautiful yet much less expensive set mere mortals like me could access.
Hyde Street is fun because there's a lot of shops in the area. There used to be elle-même (a great vintage jewelry store that has recently gone online) just around the corner, and there is still the superb and mysterious Hyde & Seek down the street. There's a cable car that comes up and down this street, and the street sounds like it buzzes with electricity as a result.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 172437624423 May 2015
Great antique store filled with unique objects, run by an extremely helpful and friendly owner.
Interesting tidbit: owner is developing an app that will be used for antique appraisals! New age meets old world...Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Judy M.San Francisco, United States12499 Oct 2019

Visiting San Francisco last Saturday and also to have some Erte silk screens appraised to see what they will be hitting for when times are lean. The owner was more then gracious, welcoming and gave us an extensive education as to what I could to do preserve them, consign them and what he recommended sound very wise. He wasn't pretentious, arrogant in the slightest and being a novice to fine art, he really spent time explaining how the art game goes as far as being a dealer, or appraiser. He kept it real, yes they are worth a nice chunk of change but recommended to sit on them for a few years until there's perhaps another Art deco boom
Or when it becomes fashionable again. Being forthcoming and real is my language for sure. His eclectic collection of diffrent piece's where truly a sight to behold. I'd love to spend more time when I head back and purchase something to display in my home. Mark you are the man!!! Thumbs up for sure, your professionalism and kindness spoke volumes warmed my little black heart and so he was just very inviting on a chilly December day!! Lol! Much appreciated sir! I'll Holla back at you when I'm in the city!! ! !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gwynnie P.San Francisco, United States74610607625 Mar 2009
Don't pay attention to the posted hours....it's not uncommon to find the Gallery open at 10pm on a Saturday night. A fun place to stop after a meal or *ahem* few glasses of wine at one of the many nearby Hyde St. restos.
You might be lubricated enough to slide the wallet out of the pocketbook and purchase a charming objet, especially after a chat with the rather eccentric proprietor (and we say that with all due respect and admiration for eccentricity). So many cool things here it's a bit hard to decide what needs to be liberated to come live chez vous....but again, that's a good thing.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Megan C.New York, United States4011850116828 Dec 2007
Historical Treasure Trove - Art Haven
I met Mark Busacca years ago and checked in regularly for quite some time but after a while lost touch. On my way to visit family a friend told me to stop into Busacca Gallery to check out what Mark had been working on for over five years.
Let me just say I was pleasantly surprised!! Not only is ABBA M.'s review spot on Busacca has an incredible website launching soon.
Stay tuned for a remarkable and unique project!!
GREAT PROJECT MARK!! Love your shop with all of the amazing historical treasures from beyond.

Ok, this might easily be the coolest place I have ever been in my life. There was such an overwhelming assortment of crazy objects and art that I'm sure if I could have I would have been entertained for hours and probably spent a ridiculous amount of money.
Props to the owner, who, when I (loudly drunk) whispered to my friend : "Do you think everything in here is super expensive?", he loudly whispered back: "No, it's not." (I wasn't wearing my glasses and couldn't see him behind his desk...we'll blame it on that).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - ABBA M.Seattle, United States21324 Jan 2007First to Review
A great new little shop with all kinds of beautiful treasures. The owner is incredibly kind and very knowledgeable on the history of his pieces. you can tell he is passionate about what he has collected. it's a unique floor gallery that includes modern pieces mixed in with pieces that are hundreds of years old. i went in to purchase a gift for my parents and found a great little piece and a story to go along with it which they loved. He was truely excited about being able to help and appreciated my business. Even if you aren't in the market I would recommend going by just to admire his pieces.

Wonderful selection of unique, beautiful, sometimes bizarre, unusual, rare, and delightful antiques and small art objects. Completely the result of owner Mark Busacca's discerning eye. He buys what he likes and thinks is beautiful and presents it stunningly in his shop. Check out his web site, too.
