Opening Jitters... Went to go try the new hot spot in town and then promptly left. We went to wait at the bar for what they said would be a half hour wait but we could order food at the bar. While waiting we counted and about half of the tables were empty. I counted 12 myself. I asked a waitress if we could sit at one of the many empty tables and she said that they couldn't sit us at an empty (and unreserved) table because they only sit half of them in order to pace the orders better for the kitchen. This confused me as they said I could order food at the bar. You wouldn't think where you were sitting may impact the time it takes to make food. When she fed me that line but couldn't tell me why I can order food at the bar but not if I sat at a table I had enough. Will probably give them a chance at redemption but that's a bad start.

Inconsistent.....

The word I would use to describe my experiences at the Lloydminster Original Joes. It was a favorite of mine however the service is very inconsistent. We had wings and carbonated water tonight. We paid as much for the water as we did for two orders of wings each. When curious about the bill we were told any carbonated drink is rung through as soda at 3$ each and this was an Original Joes policy.

Last Tuesday I was not charged for carbonated water nor have I ever been charged for it in the past. I really don't mind paying for drinks but there wasn't any consistency in the application of the policy. Feels like less of a policy and more of a money grab.

I love this place. Best wings in town on Thursdays plus Tuesday is usually customer appreciation day. Looking for somewhere to eat I would highly recommend.

The pub atmosphere was awesome. Felt like we weren't in Canada! Food was great and well plated. The Nutella desert was amazing. Best resteraunt in wainwright
