Whilst long established in the US, Abercrombie & Fitch only opened its first UK store fairly recently with considerable fuss. The shop is pretty big and curiously located just off Saville Row.
As the other reviewers have mentioned it is essentially like clothes shopping in a Gay disco. There is low lighting and terrible music. The shop itself is quite handsome with lots of wood panelling. The clothes aren't very exciting, it is essentially a transatlantic Jack Wills.
The strangest aspect of the shop is the two ripped shirtless guys who meet you at the door. They are incredibly handsome and if you're not prepared for it it is quite surreal.

Tintin Shop
Category: Flowers & Gifts
Neighbourhood: Covent Garden
They sell all the comics and all sorts of other merchandise. As I type I am wearing a Tintin and the Shooting Star t-shirt which I bought from the shop. There are posters, key rings, all sorts. It is a charming little shop and a perfect place to get a kid a present.

Mediterranean Cafe

Neighbourhood: Bloomsbury
The interior is fairly standard, a large central counter and a few seats and tables. I had fish and chips which perhaps wasn't particularly bright. It was okay but still perhaps better to order something more in the spirit. The decor was a little faded, and there wasn't much atmosphere. Perhaps because it was later on.
I would recommend the cafe more as a place for a coffee and a snack rather than a sit down meal.

The food is typical greasy spoon and very cheap. The food is incredibly standard; an egg sandwich is literally two pieces of bread and a fried egg. In general I would stick with the egg, bacon, chips etc. which are good. Due to its prices it is very popular with students as well as builders and other usual greasy spoon patrons.
Whilst not remarkable, it is really cheap, the people are friendly and has a shabby charm.

Marquis of Cornwallis

Neighbourhood: Bloomsbury
The crowd is mixed in terms of ages with many students as well as tourists and local workers. The staff are efficient and pleasant enough. Though it is quite fun and lively at night I prefer it as a place for daytime drinking.
It is also alongside the Brunswick centre and so ideal for a drink before a cinema or after shopping.

The staff are very friendly, informed and helpful. The shop is smaller than some, however, it is a decent size and there is a wide range of stock.
Food is ordered at the till and then brought over to you at your seats. When I last went it was only a couple of days after Christmas and it was running at half-speed. There were a selection of box lunches and hot soup. I had the soup, a cappuccino and a large Tunnocks caramel bar. It was all great and the girl who served me was very friendly.
Kennards is a wonderful small shop to buy food or have a quick snack.

The coffee is good and the snacks are tasty. There are a few seats and you don't feel as though you are in a thoroughfare. The staff are very friendly, though if there is only one person serving and making drinks it can be pretty slow.
Progreso is a good place for a break from shopping.
