Stressful encounter with staff at this salon. Walked in enquiring about head and neck massage for tension headache. Long circular discussion about how this was not possible, encluding the staff telling me 'you do not know what you are talking about' when trying to tell them what I wanted. The shop was empty at this time, and the two women arguing with me made me wonder if they actually needed any customers given the way they were acting.

Eventually agreed to 30 min massage which did concentrate on head and neck. Made me wonder why the long argument when the type of massage I wanted was entirely possible.

£30 for 30 mins was poor value for money.
The staff are inflexible in what they are willing to do - it has to be EXACTLY what they say.

Walked out feeling worse than when I walked in

Never going back there which is a shame as I live so close. Would advise to avoid as the staff are so unwelcoming and argumentative.

Ordered take out online and really wished I hadn't. So many bad points:

The food was really bad. The vegetable tempora was really just a mess of shredded carrots in batter and soaking, literally dripping soaking in oil. I love greasy food as much as the next person, but this was really too much and made me feel physically sick, and could only manage one bite. Their 'giant prawns' are very small, and certainly not worth £9.50.

They had falsely advertised their pumpkin kerroke had 6 pieces, and only came with 3, despite me adding a special request that they ensure they had 6 pieces.

And to top it all off the food took 1.45 hours to arrive. I live 5 mins drive from the resturant.

Truly terrible. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

The fruit is old and off. I brought some apples there and they were rotted through. Ok, maybe it was a one off I thought, and tried them again. However the fruit I brought the second time was tasteless and again a few were bad when cut open. The sales people there are always miserable and dour and act like they are doing you a favour by bothering to serve you. Perhaps being right on top of an underground station and opposite a train line is not a recipe for fresh fruit?

I have brought items directly from their website, via their ebay shop, and brought items in to be repaired in their shop. On all occasions their customer service has been terrible.

I brought in a bag to be repaired in their Covent Garden shop, sales girl was disinterested and informed me I would be called the next week regarding its suitability for repair. Of course I hear absolutely nothing, and considering I have left a bag costing hundreds of pounds in the hands of someone who couldn't care less, had to spend time chasing up the location of my bag.

This company seems to think a few mentions in Vogue has elevated it above it's status. They would do well to heed the profit fall in Aquascutum, and bring their customer service in line with their prices. You'd find better customer service in Tescos than you do from their online and high street shops.

Stick to Smythson, and avoid this hugh headache of a company
