Integrity isn't just a word with these guys, it's their whole way of doing business. A rare thing these days. As someone in the automotive industry, we've watched this company grow and build their outstanding reputation these past few years and when our local preferred shop in Bend had another change in ownership & tech departures, we decided that even though Integrity Auto Services is in La Pine, it would be worth our efforts to give them a try....and NO disappointment in making that leap. Jeremy and his crew are top notch and have earned our trust. Their facility is state of the art and they are cutting edge about providing the best in customer service and an involved approach to your automotive care. From their "waiting room" with big screen TV, comfortable couch and snack bar to their video recording of the inspection and repairs guiding you through the entire process, this is the future of what WE as customers have come to value as the pinnacle of automotive car care. Integrity Auto Services isn't just for La Pine residents, if you crave doing commerce with a company that has good old fashioned ethics & uses modern technology for your automotive needs, then Integrity Auto Services is for you.

Short review--ate here 3 days in a row. Need I say more?

Long review--Yelp paid off. Did my due diligence and researched places I wanted to try ahead of our visit to Newport and bookmarked this little gem.

COVID update--limited seating. They have three tables. Otherwise it's takeout only.

First day--breakfast. Arrived about 1030. A Friday. No waiting. Had lattes (big, hot, frothy deliciousness) fresh squeezed OJ....so fresh they squeeze it upon order. Not that morning. When you order it!!! Now THAT's fresh! Just short of table side.

Wife had the the crepes Versailles and I had the vaunted French toast with caramelized bananas & cream....oh holy hell...yum....opting for a side of bacon which was thick & crispy. Maybe ask if you want it a little more chewy.

Had a few bites of my wife's Versailles and it was very good too. Generous portions! She polished off two of the three.

Next day--Saturday--arrived at 9:30 and still got seated right away. Same table. Definitely noticed that it IS chilly in there. So if you are going in the cooler months, maybe plan to not take off your coat.

More lattes & fresh squeezed OJ. Wife also had a mimosa (with same fresh squeezed OJ). She sucked it down. So I can only assume it was good.

Branching out--wife had the Paris French omelette. Another solid choice. Brie wrapped in egg & prosciutto with the melted brie oozing out. Fantastic! Wife LOVED this. She also had the homemade croissant. Light & flakey.

I had the Loire Valley French omelette--OMG---ten..ten..ten!!! Loved this!!! It's served open face with this scrumptious artichoke & mushroom sauce. Opted for the homemade English muffin which was good. So different from the quintessential "Thomas'" ones I grew up with.

Waddled our and made reservations for the next morning at 9...when they open.

Sunday--arrived 5 mins before opening. Scanned the pastry counter and my eyes beheld an ooey gooey maple eclair. Had to have it.

Seated and ordered two lattes & another OJ. Took a bite of the eclair and about fell outta my chair!!! It was orgasmic goodness!!!

By now, we are known and feeling very welcomed here. Like family. I should say that the owner, Kate, waited on us the previous two visits and SHE is phenomenal. So outgoing and personable you can tell this is her life & passion. The food is remarkable but SHE seals the deal.

Anyway, what to have today? Still branching out because it ALL looks so good, I went for a split--1 eggs sardou & 1 salmon benedict. Epically delicious! Wife had to go back to Paris omelette....while she liked the crepes from Friday, she loved this Brie filled delicacy.

We WILL be coming back here again & again & again next time we are in Newport! No

Just arrived at our hotel. It was after 7. Friday night. Asked for a recommendation and Angelina's was at the top of their list for soups, salads & sandwiches.

It was nearby. Across the street from Safeway. We arrived and as we walked in, out of the corner we heard a loud and enthusiastic, "Hi Guys!" Alarmed, we turned to see a couple friends and colleagues we hadn't seen in YEARS! Small world.

Needless to say, they invited us to join them even they had just finished their meal. Sat at a little table for four in the corner. A quick peruse of the menu and we landed on the Little Italy salad for me, a calzone for my wife and a shared cheesy bread. For drinks, we saw our friends polishing off the last of what appeared to be a dark stout (it was) so we got a couple of those too.

Drinks came out right away, followed shortly by our food. Sorry...since we were busy catching up with our long lost friends, no pics. But trust me, the cheesy bread was AMAZING. Loaded and ooooey gooooey goodness. My salad was also fantastic. Tons of tasty goodies with a lovely presentation. Only hard part was pouring the dressing and trying to mix it on my plate. The portions were very generous and the plate small. A big bowl would have worked better, but I'm not complaining. The salad was delicious and filling.

Didn't try my wife's calzone but she ate 95% which even before confirming verbally that it was good is positive confirmation that it was a hit. She later said that it too was delicious.

Our friends said they had a pizza and had devoured it.

The corner table we parked our fannies at was cozy and delightfully warm! Being by the front window, I was expecting a draft or at least being a little chilly. But my wife and I both commented later that there must have been a heater right there because we both felt the delightful warmth on our legs under the table.

Great recommendation from our hotel staff. Didn't disappoint. Would definitely go back. Pizzas look good too from other Yelpers descriptions & pics.

We used to be die hard Enterprise fans at this airport, but when they remodeled and Enterprise is the only "Shuttle-To-Off-Site" location, why continue with that time waster when precious seconds of your vacation tick by?

So we tried Hertz a year or so ago and haven't looked back. One of the first times, after signing up for their Gold Rewards, they upgraded me to a Mercedes at no additional cost! That wow'd the family.

Subsequent visits haven't been as generous with the upgrades, but they sure hooked my loyalty on that Mercedes upgrade.

Just last week, I'd prepaid for an economy base model...expecting a Chevy Aveo or Nissan Versa....upon arrival they put me in a brand new Mazda 3. Which, by the way, I loved.

Side note: I've always kinda admired those Mazda 3's and thought, "Yeah, I'd like to get one." But we aren't in the market for a new car, so it's just been a passing thought whenever I see one even though I've never even sat in one...let alone drive one. Well, it sure felt good to drive this baby for two weeks and confirm my expectations that it really is a nice ride!

But back to Hertz and why I'm sold on them here at HNL. Ease of location: pick up your bags, cross over two "lanes" of traffic, turn right and you are there! Easy peasy! No more shuttle.

Then, if you are a Gold Member, front of the line privileges. They look up your name, copy your driver license and hand you the keys. No high pressure sales for added insurance or additional accessories like GPS. It's always so smooth and fast! I've never had to wait more than a few minutes in line.

Then, when you get to your car, just stow your bags, shoot some pics (that's what I do) and you are off. Nobody else to check you out.

Now truth be told, the first couple times that made me nervous. No Hertz employee to concur and sign off on previous damage? But in the end, we've never had an issue and it's such a breeze for getting on your way.

Returning the car is just as easy & relatively effortless. No hassles. Steps from the terminal. Friendly staff. What else can I say?

I'm such a fan of this Hertz, I don't even bother price checking anymore. The rates seem fair. Plus the added convenience & ease of check out makes me one satisfied customer.

      Sorry Enterprise!

Mazda 3. So nice, I'd buy this car. And way better than the Nissan Versa I was expecting.
Complimentary upgrade on my first time using Hertz and being a Gold Member. Way to garner my undying loyalty.

We call this the Waianae Pillboxes. Easy to find (see other Yelp reviews). Lots of street side parking. Saw the other day remnants of a smashed window...pity. Why do people have to do that? If you want to walk the extra half mile, park down in one of the neighborhoods and maybe your car will be safer? Just a guess. We've done both & never had a problem but our luck is probably running out.

Anyway, hike is all vertical. A relentless incline of switchbacks and uneven terrain until you are almost at the top. Watch your footing as there are some real ankle breakers here if you get over confident & don't pay attention to your foot placement. Especially on your way down.

You'll see all fitness levels on this hike. Huffer & puffers to lithe gazelles! Those pouring sweat with expressions of agony and "not another step" to those who look like they just had a massage at the spa. And, if you go early in the morning, you might not see a soul. Sheesh, did I just suggest that?

This seems to be a popular sunset hike, although I wouldn't be crazy enough to pick my way down the trail after dark. Three broken ankles in my 48 years....I don't want another! However, true confession, I did it once with a group for sunset and after reaching the top, I said "Yep. That's beautiful. I'm outta here. Got 15 mins to get down till its pitch black!" And off I went leaving the rest to "oooo & aaah" over the pink & purple sky.

So what is the real skill level here? Reasonably good shape with sure footing. Not afraid of heights. It's a great workout!

Bring water if you are tackling it mid-day. Not a lot of shade. If you are going early morning or at sunset, hydration isn't a must have ON the hike, but you'll appreciate it back at your car.

Bug spray? We never remember it, but if there is no breeze at the top, the little pests can be annoying and will hinder your ability to just relax & take in the views.

Time commitment is about an hour depending on how long you spend at the top (and your fitness level).
