Happiness, moments of pure happiness!!
The Swedish word Fika means the drinking of coffee and the word is really in the core of Swedes socialising.
Oh the joy I felt of reading the menu and having some of the food. Me and my friend we shared the starter of Gravadlax and the salmon was divine! We skipped the mains and we then directly to the dessert (I am a grown-up - I can do these things) Kladdkaka (Swedish version of brownie). This was served with proper vanilla ice cream which was unusual for me - I am used to have whipped cream to my Kladdkaka. Still, it was very taste and moist.
I greedily checked out what my fellow dinners had to eat and that looked very appetizing too. I have to come back and try some of that too.
I know that Brick Lane is all about Indian food but since I don't really like it I am thrilled to have some of my own home cuisine close by. Yes, this is a Swedish place and has Swedish staff too. They are on Facebook too and will send out messages when there is a typical Swedish event going on.
Be aware that they do not take cards so cash is needed to pay for your meal.

This place is located near Victoria Park and a good stop to have some nice lunch after a walk.
It has a modern, Italian theme. Service was good and attentive. The prices was slightly high but on the other hand the portions were generous as well.
The tables are all together and you sit right next to the other guests. This is nice in theory as it give a family feel. However, we sat next to a family with young kids and despite the parents best effort to keep them calm they got carried away and this increased my stress. I wanted to relax a bit more and this is the reason for not giving this place 4 stars.
I will be back here though.

I had my highlights done by Briell and this was my first time with her and this salon.
I walked pass the salon and since they had their prices clearly displayed at the window I decided to try this place out. I just moved back to London and was for a search for a place to have my hair done. They have 4 different levels, Graduate, Stylist, Senior and Director. Briell was within Senior category. I am always a bit hesitant when prices say from but in this case I got charged what the list said.
Briell listened to me what I wanted. When I asked what technique she used for putting the foils in she answered straightforward. I so dislike the technique when the parting is done in one go and then the sides are done downwards. My head is not square. Briell had a new technique (for me) with a criss cross and apparently it will not give such harsh line when the roots grows out. The colour match to my previous colour feels good too.
Be aware the payment method is cash or cheque which was not told to me when I booked the appointment so I had to dash out and get the cash.

This is the best place in London to get a superb steak that I am aware of. I believe the meat is imported from Argentina.
I have been here 4 times and each and every time have I been so full and pleased with the steaks they serve. The only negative thing I can say is that the steaks are too big.
Last time I went here was 12 March and I decided to have learned my lesson and 'only' ordered a 8oz Sirloin steak. It was more then enough and cooked to perfection. I want my steaks rare but rarely get it the way I want it. Not at this place, they know how to do it right. My guests had the fillet and also the 14oz Sirloin steak. the 14oz is huge and a min 5cm thick and plain massive.
My recommendation is to share any fries and salad you might order - it will be enough.
This place is always full so do your reservation in advance.

Bob's Bunz
Categories: Restaurants, Bakeries
Hello - I am name is Sofia and I am a picky cinnamon bun addict. And I really liked the cinnamon bunz at Bob's Bunz!! So yummy!
We stopped here on our way leaving Kay West for lunch and we are so happy that we did. The portions are generous and good value. I had a salad and it was made to order. Their menu would cover most the normal items you find in a diner-like-place from burgers to salad. I'd also say that the locals eat here to which I find is a very good sign.
It is also a bakery with a lot of options to choose from. I have uploaded some picture for you to view.
Pop their address in your GPS or check out for the yellow marquise to stop here for lunch or dinner or for a snack.

The best steak dinner place!! Me and my friend had a great steak dinner tonight and we are both fussy meat eaters. We had the Fillet Mignon and they were perfect! The meat was tender, cooked just as we ordered it (rare and medium). The baked potato with a pot of sour creme and the vegetables were perfect to the meat.
For desserts, I had the chocolate mousse which was again perfect. It melted in my mouth. So so yummy.
The service was great, the dinning room is charming. The restaurant is at the water front so there are great views too.

Finally!! I have finally found a place in SF that serve decent Tzatziki (or as this restaurant spells it: Tzazekee). Well it only took about 2 years to find it.
I had a quick late lunch with Tzatziki, Pita bread and Pomegranate spritzer and a few nibbles of the Chicken Kebab Plate - it was all good. I'll be back that is for sure.

Ashley Lopez cut my hair today - and I am so so so pleased & happy with it!!
Ashley listened to have I had to say, and then he came with great suggestions that showed that he had listened. While he was cutting my hair he concentrated on his task and was not too chatty - which I really like. He mainly cut my hair dry and that gave a great result.
This was good value for money and I will be back.
I just like to add that the reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I did not have a complete re-styling. Bet hey - maybe next time since this is a great find.

Just discovered this Budget car rental on 4th & Howard, opposite the Moscone Center.
I found the staff accommodating to my rather odd (??) request of a non-American car. This prices were very competitive. I will rent a car from this place again.
It opened 1 Nov 07. They are also open on Sundays which is an extra plus if you don't want to drop off the car on Monday.
Their hours are:
Mon - Fri 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Sat 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Sun 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

They have places all their different teas in small cups on the counter so you can choose what you like the smell of. I am a fan of mint tea and tried a new sort today.
I also had a chocolate brownie which tasted freshly made.
All in all this was a good experience and I recommend it
