Really nice place to get lunch. Can get very busy at lunch and has limited seating. I have been many times to have the hot carvary. The selection includes beef, lamb and chicken peri. You can have this on a ciabatta, bap or granary bun. All very nice. The only problem is sometimes the onions they have are not that nice because they have not peeled the onion properly. Otherwise it would get 5/5.
As well as the carvary, there is a salad bar, shop and deli selling hams, sausages, etc.

Andrew hasn't made any lists yet.

It was a cold evening in Manchester so it was good to enjoy some food and drink in good company. Like Chris, I can't remember the exact names/flavours of the pies but they were all good :)
My personal fav was the steak pie. The cheese pie was probably my 2nd favourite - if I remember correct it had won some award - being the best vegetarian pie.
The pies cost about £7 and we basically got to try a quarter of a pie of each type. It was actually pretty filling and it was more or less my evening meal sorted! :)
As well as the pies, there were samples of cheese. I am not really a cheese expert and although I like cheese, its just the normal boring stuff like chedder and red leicester I like. Tried a few different types and all tasted good - some better than other but thats all personal taste.
The beer we got to try was from BrewDog. There were 3 types I think - 5am Saint, Hardcore and Punk IPA. I only tried the 5am saint one which had a flavour of lychees.
As far as ales are concerned it was good but I am more a lager fan. I know thats probably not "proper" beer but I like what I like :)
Anyway, overall a very good evening and thank you to Emma, everyone at Fyg and Josie from BrewDog.
If you get a chance to visit Fyg Deli, check it out. As well as the food to eat there, you can buy some produce from the little shop area - various homemade sauces, jams, oils etc - perfect for a Christmas present! ;)
