My local pub for the last three years, and I have not visited enough. What makes the place are the punters, friendly, quirky and clearly been visiting the place for years. The atmosphere is filled with British kitsch. The food is Thai, and very good, cheap and spicy! It is not a free house, it is owned by the Punch group. So who knows how it will holdup over the years. But for today, best pub in the area.

Great little pub near an odd and useful small museum dedicated to Brunel. On the weekend the area is super quiet, but the pub itself was doing a steady but not unpleasantly busy business. A wide range of ales on offer from friendly servers and a good mix of finger foods. The outdoor space is great in the summer.
