Karli’s 2-star review:
I haven't spent a ton of time in hotels, but I do know a good hotel when I see one.
I was visiting from Utah with my family, and my mother booked this place. We pulled up in our rental car, and my first words upon seeing this place were "you gotta be fu**ing kidding me". It looked very ghetto from the outside, and that really worried me.
After a stern "watch your mouth" from my parents, we headed inside. Thank The Lord, it was MUCH nicer on the inside than on the outside. It had a classy feel, which I really liked. The first thing I noticed was the Starbucks. I knew I'd be spending some serious time there.
We checked in, and the woman who helped us was INCREDIBLY nice. She was adorable and had a fabulous personality. I wish I would have caught her name, but I was far too upset about the fact that wifi is $12 A DAY and parking is $26 A DAY. If you spent more than two days here, prepared to get ripped off.
Now onto the rooms. They were pretty pricey, and not very big. They were nice, but nothing I would write home about. My biggest complaint about the room was the shower. I'm a very tall lady, and I kept whacking my head on the shower head. Please make your showers Sasquatch friendly.
My biggest complaint about this whole hotel experience is the pool. They claim it is heated, but it is actually freezing cold. After a long day of swimming in the cold ocean, all I wanted was a nice warm pool. I spent about 10 minutes in there, and left shivering. It was a real let down.
All in all, the great customer service was the only reason this isn't a one star review.
