In this immediate area you have the choice of two pubs. You get the Rising Sun which is a modern pub compared to this one the York Arms which is abit more old fashioned pubs that I think could do with a face lift.

It is an old style pub with equally old style punters all probably regulars by the looks of their stares. You get bench seating and a couple of areas split by the bar itself.

There is a seafood stall outside (that tells you all you need to know). I must say though they do have a nice garden in the rear which offers a barbecue now and again.

A couple of ales but not any of my favourites (I really don't like Green King). Sorry won't be coming back here very often, I will leave it to the locals.

Not the best pub in London but very local to me and thus convenient. Always have sport on (handy) and I pop here for the odd pint with a mate or the odd lunch (when the cleaner's here).... Often have bbq's in the summer and a bouncy castle for the kids. Note to self; they sell Haribo & Curly Wurlies if there's no dinner at home.

The York arms is a friendly place. The bar staff are chatty and happy. They have a good size garden with play equipment, and there is limited parking at the front (plenty on the residential streets around the pub though). That's pretty much where the good points end. It is a bit of an oldies pub, they have a few regulars who sit there for most of the day and glare when someone they don't know comes in. The drinks are expensive, and the beer isn't all that great. Sometimes they have a cheesy disco. The toilets are poorly maintained if at least clean usually. They do sell food, which is limited to jacket potatoes and ploughmans as far as I'm aware, although in the summer they have barbeques in the garden which can be quite nice.
