This is a great wine store and it's open fairly late for Highgate . Great, large selection, reasonable prices, and really cool, friendly staff. What more could you ask for? Best wine store in London. Love this place!

I've heard about Zelas Natural Wine Club. I am an avid wine lover and like to taste new wines and I think of joining this Club!

What a find! This independent natural (yes I said natural) wine merchants is definitely worth a mention. Just down from Highgate tube on the Archway road you will find this great little place bursting with great natural wines and a friendly and most knowledgeable host to guide you through.

So what's the difference between your usual bottle of plonk and natural wine.? Not much I hear you say..well shame on you!! For one when you take a sip you immediately notice that it has much more flavour. I'm no connoisseur but you can taste the grape more (yes I was lucky enough to taste quite a few wines), it has real depth plus there is no bitter aftertaste. This is because natural wines are made with as little chemical and technological intervention as possible. They are bottled unfiltered with minimal addition of sulphur, so you don't get that harshness on drinking! Don't be fooled that organic wine is the same thing - the grapes may be grown organically, but the grapes will most likely still be subjected to a technical process before it hits the shelves in your local off license. Tsk!

I think it's great that a wine merchant is introducing natural wines to customers and not playing safe with the same old brands that you see in most wine shops.
I'm told by the owner of the shop, that more and more of his customers are getting interested in natural wines and are asking for more, which of course is good news! And there are plenty of wines to choose from.

All I know is from what I have tasted - that fresh and bright and oh so quaffable taste has me going back for more, so go get tasting!

This is the best wine shop about natural wine in London, the owner is really passionate, i like a lot his point of view about the world of wine. He is really carefully about small producers making great wine, he has always very good suggestion for your food matches, gift or own cellar wine.
Also is doing some very exciting tasting on saturday and the things I really appreciate from him when he propose a wine he doesn't necessarely sell you the most expensive bottle, his priority is to find a wine that will suit your need.
Recently he created a web site called vin de ouf, where you can find only biodynamic wine.
Definitely i am a big fan of wine of course
