We booked our table for 7:30pm. When we put our order in my husband wanted pie of the day. They said they had just run out. The food we had was tasteful and well cooked and we had a lovely table. When we came to order dessert they said they had run out of vanilla ice cream and two other desserts on the menu.
It was a Saturday evening prior to Fathers Day. Did they not anticipate they might be busy? Disappointing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (iamjo…)Birmingham, West Midlands11023 Jan 2009
A beautiful pub in Haverhill, the White Horse Inn has a really old fashioned air with an open log fire and beamed ceiling.
I love visiting here because the food is absolutely superb and there is a good choice of real ales, spirits and wine. The wine is worth commenting on alone as although it's fairly expensive, the selection is fabulous and they stock some very good vintages.
My favouite meal from here is the steak which is always cooked to my specification and is without fail succulent and bursting with flavour.
The White Horse Inn has several bedrooms and an a'la carte restaurant, I have seen the bedrooms but never stayed here but from what I saw they are comfortable and extravagant with four poster beds and en-suite bathrooms.
The pub is lovely enough inside, but the exterior is exquisite
with thatch roof and small pretty beer garden at the front.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
