i was locked out last sunday morning. The locksmith came within 20 minutes. After pushing a scrap of plastic between the door and door frame for about 20 seconds he announced that there was a major problem with the lock and, instead of £65 it would be £120 because it needs a lot more tools and time. After 5 minutes using only an electric drill and a metal punch, the door was open. I suppose 5 minutes was more than 20 seconds with a piece of plastic. I made a point of asking about extra charges before I asked them to come round. I was given assurances that it would be £65 albeit in quite guarded language. I am convinced that the guy was just fudging the point so that I would ask them round and then they could double the price. |It is hard to escape the conclusion I was thoroughly conned by these guys.
PS its interesting to note that , without exception, the other reviewers have given them 5 stars. Curious. Or am I just being cynical and doubting the locksmith's integrity?
