Unfortunately this fine establishment is closed. I looked for it for an hour in the winding alleys off of Paradise St in Liverpool until I found out :(

Your options for fine Pastys are limited to Greggs I'm afraid (in the shopping district)

Arrrgh! batten down the hatches, polish my mizzenmast and get me a big bloody pasty! I know when I think of pasties I always immediately think of pirates so it was of course the natural choice for the West Cornwall Pasty Co. to go with a tricorner-hatted, blackbearded cutthroat as their mascot.

The cornish pasties here are about the best you can actually get outside Cornwall. Why are they so good? They just arrrgh! They're far cry from the papery pasties you're likely to get at Greggs, filled with mud-coloured throbbing gristle. This is the real deal; the pastry is as golden as freshly plundered doubloons and the filling is as soft and delicious as any salty wench you're likely to come across. Ahem. And there is wide range - not only traditional Cornish but also steak and stilton, cheese and bacon and vegetable provencal.

They also do pretty good (Starbucks beating, even) coffee and spiced potato wedges - I asked though and alas, there are no plans to start selling rum or grog anytime time soon. Argh.

West Cornwall Pasty is one of few small kiosks based in Paradise Street which sells traditional Cornish pasties and other baked snacks at fairly high prices just for a few bites. No doubt it is attractive and tempting when you look at the irresistible pies and pizza slices it has on offer but for me, not really value for money when you have Greggs and Sayers nearby which sells similar foods at lower prices and tastes just as nice.

After all, I don't think there is anything special about a pasty nor is it rocket science to prepare and cook. Expect to pay almost £3 for a medium Cornish pasty. Considering you can buy twice the amount for £3 elsewhere, I know which option I would select.

The West Cornish Pasty company is a small kiosk which delivers the delights of Cornwall to the people of Liverpool and all of this is done with a smile. I have always been the type of person who adores a good old pasty so imagine my delight when I stumbled across a small kiosk which claimed to produce the type of pasties that the people of Cornwall would be proud of. I have to say that this place did not disappoint at all, the pasties were mouth watering and full of the kind of flavours which leave you wanting more and more.

The service came with a smile and the place as a whole was very pleasant and it certainly left me feeling full and fulfilled.
