I have been to Weekend a couple of times over the years and each time it was a quality evening -- great music and a crowd that likes to get down. The most impressive thing about the club is the view of the city, was here for New Year's one year and could definitely recommend that if you get a chance.
Music style seems to lean towards Techno old-faithful, but went to see Roland Dorfmeister there and he was throwing in a lot of really great techy-glitchy tracks that got the floor going. Drink prices are decent for a club that is so popular and the barstaff are quick on their toes.
Watch for some sleazy tourists while you are there, however, they can be a little aggressive. But, usually so drunk you can just wander away and they'll continue talking to the wall.
By the way, anyone find a Blackberry this past Friday?!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Berlin is too full of great clubs and nights to waste your time at this mainstream tourist trap which is little more than a cash cow for the unimaginative people who run it.
My friends and I knew that this was only of *any* interest because of the views from the rooftop terrace. We reluctantly forked over 15 Euros each to the grinning meathead taking cash. When we got upstairs we discovered the rooftop was CLOSED! Why? We weren't told. OK . . . we were out of here . . . back down we went . . . we politely explained to the cash guy who we had seen 2 minutes earlier that because the rooftop was closed and the only reason we came if we could get a refund and leave. He just laughed in our faces and asked why should he or the club care, they had our money and if we didn't like it we could leave. Needless to say no amount of reasonable debate was going to get our money back.
Wow. Well we decided we certainly weren't going to spend any more of our money here and left with a lot less money for the privilege of riding up in their elevator, having our senses blasted with awful music and being insulted to boot. We felt robbed by this place and let this be a warning to anyone interested in checking out this place for the terrace - there are NO SIGNS telling you if it's open or not and they won't tell you at the door - so if you want to gamble 15Euro to find out by all means go ahead.
I really hope a lot of people will read and avoid this awful club with the rudest staff I have had the displeasure to come across in my life.

Despite the 10-15 Euro cover, I was lucky to be with two girls that I met in my hostel. Some other guys we met had a hard time getting in. It's right around the corner from Hostel One80 (which was one of the best hostels I stayed in Europe) and even closer to Alexanderplatz Station.
It's a cool experience going up multiple stories to go dancing. Upstairs, you're surrounded by windows with views of Berlin. Around the windows are seating to take a break from dancing.
Unfortunately, there ventilation is pretty bad. It gets too hot and steamy, and it's not helped the plethora of people smoking inside. I would suggest all the clubs in Kreuzberg, but if you're staying near Alexanderplatz, this is good for a club night.

Weekend has a reputation of being a great club, but I feel that the reputation is mostly hype. Besides the rooftop terrace (will go into this later) the club is tiny. Drinks and entry fee are very expensive for Berlin and the whole experience feels lack luster for the amount of hype and money revolving around the place.
The roof top terrace, which is only open when the weather permits, is amazing. The atmosphere up there is more lounge-like and it succeeds. Instead of being a club that is too small and too cramp, you have a nice spacious terrace where people can sit and talk with a DJ playing right next to the bar.
I will admit that the club has an amazing view of Alexanderplatz and that the club attracts many top DJs. The only thing is, if I had to chose between seeing a big DJ at Weekend or any other big club in Berlin, i would chose the latter. Weekend is too small, too expensive and the crowd there is just there because of the hype.
All in all, I would only come here if I was a big fan of the DJ and if the rooftop terrace was open.

Have been here a few times and although the music is OK (minimal/house/techno, check the line-up when you go) it's a bit touristy, and a bit too 'dressy' for my taste.
Worth going once to see the fantastic view from the roof terrace (the club is on two upper floors of an office block + roof terrace) which has its own bar and music piped up from the club below.
Nothing against tourists, but head east for Berghain or Watergate to experience Berlin nightlife.

Been here twice - the first night was questionable, the second was truly fun - great vibes, chill atmosphere and RAD music. However, while the weather was nice, the rooftop terrace was not open either night, and I feel that it is an integral part of the weekend experience: why go to a club on a rooftop in Alexanderplatz if you can't experience the view as well. Although I do appreciate how different the 12th and 15th floors are set up. Bartenders were chill, and some people may complain about the price of drinks, but nothing gets in the way of my lovely Berlin good time.

Weekend is a top class Berlin venue. The view is amazing and the roof terrace is great in summertime. The crowd is a bit more well heeled, which is not such a bad thing, unless you were expecting something a bit grimier. Certainly the women are smart and sophisticated. But the club has a great party atmosphere and features the cream of underground local and overseas dj talent, such as Loco Dice, or Laurent Garnier. The interior is also very classy but tasteful. Thoroughly recommended.

Somehow stumbled in here again this weekend. We couldn't think of a better alternative and this somehow popped up as an option. I've been here a couple times, initially with friends, and then for a couple corporate events. This may be a place whose time has come and gone. The concept is pretty cool in that it's high up in a high-rise building. Further, the outdoor patio is very cool. At the same time, it seems that everyone knows about the place at this time and it seems to be turning more into a tourist destination than anything truly local. If to a couple other much more underground places and they definitely weren't yet in any tourist guide. Unfortunately their door policies are much more restrictive and the crowd much more involved with themselves. I guess with the right crowd around and with a group of your own friends, Weekend may still have some time left but there is newer and edgier available at this point in Berlin.
