Pie night, Curry night, Chip night, get-away-from-our-design-center-night...that's for me.This is basically a British steak house, with some outdoor seating. This is from a while back, but I believe my opinion is still valid. This place actually has a big parking lot (car park, in English?).
It was light lunch time, of sausages, red onions, Coleslaw and chips and beer. Portions were a good size, and after eating at the bar, we were ready to call it quits. I guess "light" lunch is a relative term.
Love all these pubs around Bracknell. It's a residential town, with high tech companies, very close to the M3, M4 and M25. I wonder how all the other techie heads get any work done here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Polo L.Colorado Springs, United States24423 Aug 2016
Very good run of the mill pub and pub food. Was a busy Sunday for dinner yet I did not have to wait long for a table. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and had great overall service. Like most pubs there is only one or two stations to order so that has your typical wait. Ok beer selection and on Sundays they have a buffet with beef, turkey, ham and many sides that is definitely worth the price. I would definitely recommend for the price.

The Wether Vane is part of the Brewers Fayre group and has recently been made-over and now it looks very respectable. There is plenty of choice on the menu, with lunchtime food avaliable as well. There is also a kids menu. Its also a nice to meet friends for drinks as the bar area is seperate to the restaurant. Large car park, nice food, what more could you ask for!

Had lunch here on Monday, and for what you pay, I'll have to give three stars. But that's because it's just so cheap. The food is really quite humdrum and you get what you pay for. But in a nice place. Read on
I had the chicken tikka curry which came with rice, naan, and two popadums and mango chutney. My wife had fish, chips and peas. Both meals for a tenner as one of their deals. But my curry tasted like a budget ready meal and the naan was over-cooked and a little dry. All nice enough for a fiver, but nothing thrilling.
Next, two desserts for two quid! Yes, a pound each! I had a slice of black forest gateau and my wife had a school-dinner-like chocolate sponge with custard. My cake, again, was like a cheapo slice of something defrosted from Iceland or Lidl, but can you grumble at these prices? Even the soft drinks had free refills.
Plus, the Weather Vane is spacious, with great parking. And immaculate inside, with comfortable new chairs. Waiting staff were workmanlike, and cheery enough.
And then they pressed a handful of vouchers into our hands, for future visits: like pay for one, and one eats free at their buffet evenings. And more. You could easily be netted into returning here, week after week and paying very little indeed. But I'd feel my food would be little different than preparing cheaper-end supermarket products myself at home.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
