Plenty of grass area but also pathed well so if you happen to be there to jog or walk the dog on a rainy day there is no worry about getting muddy!
It is very popular, especially the warmer months and with the students from the university playing about or revising. This can make parking a little bit of a chore but there is more than enough space you just have to find it! There is a park and ride scheme that does go to the park which is definately a good option if you plan to go.
There is a skate park, playground, toilets and cafe so you can spend a whole day there and appeals to all ages.
It is nice that in the city centre you can go here and feel you are not by the main roads.

We took our 4 year old here and he really enjoyed it. There are a lot of grassy areas as well as a good play area. Our son spent most of his time on the slide! There is ample free car parking. There is a splash and play area for children under 12 which is supervised and free. There are sports such as golf and tennis which you have to pay for but the charges are minimal. There are also regular activities in the park such as music festivals. There are a couple of cafes which aren't over priced and there are at least 2 sets of toilets in the park.
All in all, this is a lovely place especially for kids. One problem I had was getting there as I had to come over Coventry Ring Road! However, if you're coming from the same direction, you can go through Earlsdon instead! It's slightly longer but it's much easier!

The War memerial park is great, it's a massive field on the edge of town. It is very popular especially in the summer. The city tries to have lots of things goingon such as the Godiva festival which is a free festival with bands and a fair. They often have a donkey derby with stalls and raffles too.

The park is quite large and a great place to go and relax or kick a ball around. It is used by lots of people and the 5km run is held there each year too.

The park does also have facilities such as loo's and a skateboard area. The carpprk is also the park for the park and ride which is really good.

A really beautiful park, not far from the train station on the kenilworth road. Beautiful trees and the floral displays can be quite stunning. Lots going on here as its a huge space in a city, festivals , fairs etc look in the Telegraph or ask at tourist indormation. my favourite thing used to be the train when i was small, a small locamotive for kids rides, built to scal and used to run around the edge of one aside of the park.
The area is immense with acres of fields to walk in, small streams, little cafes tennis courts, playgrounds and of course memorials to the dead from the wars. Look at the llittle brass plates by the trees and read the inscriptions on them and some benches to get an idea of wqhy this park was started in the first place and why it is called The Memorail park Its a true pity that we as a nation don't take as much care of our fallen these days as we did then. A lasting and fitting memorial to signify the gratitude of an entire city for those who gave their lives and not in vain.

I live close to the park and visit it most weekends with my friends and their children. It's a great place to go to walk the dog, teach your children how to ride their bikes (it's where I learnt to ride mine many years ago!) and generally meander around. There is a great play-area for the children and in the summer there is a water play area. There is a large, free car park along with a Park & Ride service into town. The location is fantastic, next to train station and A46.

A few festivals are held here as well as Race for Life and the Donkey Derby - all fantastic days out with stalls, music and live shows. Family fun all around!

Really lovely park in quite a busy area of coventry. Park and ride operates from here also so there is a huge car park. Park itself is pretty good as far as parks go, play area etc and some skating stuff for bigger kids. Godiva festival is held here every year, not sure how much longer this will be the case tho as think it is fast out growing the park. Race for life is also here in the summer.

I walk my dog here regularly. The park is well kept and is busy. It is good to see allsorts of people using the park. There are many events held here, some of which I attend. I think it is a great place to hold these even though I know some local residents complain. I can here the noise from my house but it is happy noise and always finishes by 11pm.
Friends have visited me with small children and the play area is safe and great fun for them.
