The Goldsworth Park Waitrose is a reasonably sized store, stocking a wide range of fresh and frozen foods, toiletries and beverages. It is sometimes the case however that while the shelves often seem very full, if you are searching for a specific item it can often be temporarily unavailable, with shelf stackers rearranging the available products so that it does not appear there is anything missing.
The store is light and spacious, with the aisles reasonably wide apart so that two trolleys can pass each other without causing a traffic jam.
I rarely see queues at tills in this store, either due to fast and efficient service or the more quiet nature of the store as it is on the Goldsworth Park estate, slightly further away from town.
There is a good sized car park outside, and a petrol station near the store's exit.
Waitrose is a bit of a gem in Goldsworth Park. It's not a large store but it's well stocked with goods appropriate to the size of the store.
Flowers, fruit and veg are fresh and keep well. Meat tends to be packaged in portions for 2 or 4 and larger joints are harder to come by. The fresh meat and fish counters vary in terms of stock but all is good.
The deli is excellent with a good choice.
Waitrose entertains is available in store as is glass hire.
Staff are vey friendly and offer good assistance.
There is a self-scan facility which speeds up checkout.
Waitrose are participating in a community scheme benefitting local charities at the moment which appeals.
Battery and plastic bag recycling are available in store.
The car park is well maintatined and trolleys and baskets are always available, dry and in good condition.
Opening hours vary throughout the week with extended hours towards the weekend.
Nice sized store well placed in Goldsworth Park. Good parking just outside.
I like to do my specialist shopping here as they stock a variety of different foods not easily available in Tesco's or Sainsbury's.
Always clean and tidy with a relaxed atmosphere it is a completely different experience to other supermarket shopping with no rushed or claustrophobic feel.
I certainly wouldn't shop here on a regular basis but thats through no fault of the store as the variety and quality is excellent it's just that it is more expensive!
The staff here have always been extremely friendly and helpful.
All your usual counters; fish, deli, bakery, meat. Excellent takeaway meals.
Waitrose prides itself on quality produce and it doesn't let you down.
There is a bus stop right next to the store.
What can i say about waitrose. top quality stuff, but pricey. not sure how they make any money as we always go there just to mop up what we could not get at other stores, never seems to be too many people in there. great for special dinner stuff that you can't get elsewhere.
