    Dear Waitrose

How are you? I hope the extension is going smoothly and the builders aren't bending over too much and scaring the kids. I'm sure it'll look awesome when it's done! How long is it till completion now?

I'd just like to thank you for stocking such goodies as quinoa and goat's cream, fresh runner beans and spelt pasta, when those all around you are turning to fast-cooking-microwavable-plates-of-misery and meal deals. You are located a handy walking distance from my abode but also have good bus routes at your door for when I am laden with your fresh produce. Bravo!

    See you next week,

    Phil R

P.S. Could you possibly reconsider your prices a little? £4.95 for some salt is a little off-putting. Not to mention a total rip off. Thanks.

This particular branch of Waitrose usually hosts no less than 3 screaming babies and/or children, as well as 4-5 crazy old people, whenever I visit. And yet, I'm still offering 5 stars.

Why? Because it's THAT GOOD. You can call me a food snob if you must, but Waitrose gets the art of grocery shopping correct. Myself and my live-in man friend have been cooking at home a lot more, and you come to understand where to get the freshest ingredients (when the local farmer's market isn't on) and this place stomps all over places like Tesco (psh!) and Sainsbury's (lame!) and Morrison's (HAH!)

Plus, sometimes, and it's a completely mystery to me exactly when or why or how, but they will give you a little green plastic coin upon checkout to donate to a local charity of your choice (via big plastic drop boxes at the door).

Oh, also, Sheen is a great little place to spend an afternoon window shopping.

I went here once and the carpark security sounded like they just got out of prison.
The second time I wanted a spot but was directed by a carpark attendant  to drive this way and then the spot was gone.
Why do they need someone telling people where to park and cant we be trusted to park without a drama.
I just drove straight out of there to another store

There is something about this Waitrose which gives me warm fuzzy feelings the minute I walk through those doors. They've got the magazines and newspapers right there by the entrance so it can get quite crowded there.

The store is kept clean and well lit and the atmosphere is just right, well, to spend all my hard earned money there. They've got a deli section at the back selling fresh fish, cheeses and meat. There is also a small bakery which have various cakes.

Waitrose do have a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as exotic fruits and veg. They've got all the basic needs and much more as well as a wine section for those who wish to get something nice with their sunday roast.

The store can be quite busy at weekends and the staff are well dressed and presentable and always eager to help. I've got nothing bit praise for this store as you can clearly see.

Oh, they've got a nice big car park at the back!
