I like Morrisons due to the fact that they often have good offers on and it is always clean and tidy. Big problem with this branch at moment is car parking issue. Works being done on car park on run up to christmas is just crazy and it is a nightmare at moment. Staff are all really nice and chatty which is a big plus point. Can have a long wait at checkouts to get served though and some self serve tills would be nice. Cafe is good at this branch, again nice staff and really cheap food and drinks. Macaroni Cheese is yummy.
Morrisons gets a lot of my business but that's completely down to lack of choice rather than a proactive decision to shop there. It's the only supermarket in Airdrie (apart from Lidl and Aldi) so it manages to maintain irritatingly long queues at its checkouts despite a consistently disappointing 'fresh' fruit and veg selection. Apart from those points (but they are pretty major points) it's just your average supermarket - their prices on the whole are reasonable and they do good promotions. Shelves everywhere other than fruit and veg are usually well stocked and I can get most things I need here. Staff are chatty and friendly for the most part. But they definitely need to do something about the queues and the fruit.
Morrisons feels like my 2nd home, fab big well lit shop - sell everything from mangos to bleech. Morrisons is best know for how fresh the fruit and veg is - beats local fruit shops! Morrisons always has deals on - it is a bit expensive compared to places round about but when it comes to quality Service can be a little slow - always queue at the checkouts of the more mature till operator - least then you will get something other than the occasinal grunt!
As far as supermarkets go, this is quite a small one. In saying that, it does stock a fair amount of items. It also has a good cafe and a dry cleaning counter which is really handy. The best thing about morrisons are the offers. They always do 'better than half price' and the likes which is great. The average price of a shop in here is ok probably because they are very competitive and want to out do Tesco and Asda in nearby Coatbridge. All in all, a not bad place to do your shopping!
