WHSmiths is located in The Malls in Basingstoke just outside Festival Place. Lovely shop to visit if your looking for an obscure magazine title look here first as they have a very large range which is quite impressive. Also available i found was Books, Cards and Stationary for yourself or the odd bits for kids for school. I found upstairs a wide range of Dvd's and Chart Music.
Very polite and friendly staff. Nice busy at times store.

WHSmith has a wide selection of books, dvds, magazines and stationery but I find this store very difficult to move round in. It's almost impossible to get a magazine unless you want to fight your way through and as for the rest of the items on the ground floor which mostly comprise of stationery and cards it is all quite uninspiring somehow.

Upstairs is a little better as this is where they have the books and DVDs and it is better organised and more room to move about. Again though there is something lack lustre about the shop.

I would rather do my shopping elsewhere.

Smiths seems to have been around since the dinosaurs roamed the earth, but if this store is anything to go by, they won't last much longer. The selection of products is good, but it's so cramped in here that as soon as I walk in, I feel like walking straight out again. The magazines section is always crowded, the aisles are narrow, stock is stacked high up so it feels dark, and if there's a mum with a pram in front of you, forget about getting past. This is a shame because the store sells a lot of good stuff  I just can't bear to spend much time in it.
