The Victoria Palace Theater has been recently refurbished. It looks brand new... in a retro, Victorian sort of way. Close to Victoria Station and easy to reach from anywhere in London, this theater was showing Hamilton during our visit.
The seating leg room remains Victorian, as well. Modern legs (mine at least!) would have appreciated a bit more. On the other hand, our seats (Royal Tier center) had an excellent view of the stage. There are a number of bars on multiple levels for pre-show and intermission and there seemed to be no delays in being served. Toilet facilities were also on multiple levels but finding them was a bit harder.
A very nice place to see a show!

Beautiful old theatre. Seats and aisles are narrow but so we're people when it was built. Restored perfectly, right across from Victoria Station.

900th review for the best musical in the entire world... HAMILTON!!! Lin-Manuel Miranda is a genius.

This review is more for Hamilton than the theatre but either way 5 stars for the complete experience. I a bought £20 ticket 1.5 weeks before the show date and was able to get some amazing seats on the lower bit of the Grand Circle which had an absolutely fantastic view of the stage. In the United States, tickets for Hamilton go for hundreds, so I was surprised I was able to get these tickets to begin with.

The theatre is set up where the top of the headboard of the person sitting before you is below your knees so that you can get a clear view of the stage, although it may be a bit scary if you don't like heights. Its interesting because even at the Grand Circle, you can see the actor's face and all of their expressions. The rest of the theatre is absolutely stunning, having that old Victorian ball feel.

Now for the musical, I seriously cannot recommend seeing Hamilton enough. In all the musicals I have watched in the West End (10 in just 5 months), Hamilton is my favorite one by far. Here are some reasons why:
      - The storyline is absolutely incredible! It is based on a true story of Alexander Hamilton, but the parts where Lin-Manuel Miranda decides to place more emphasis on makes his complicated life so much more simple and digestible. If all history lessons were like this, I would be going to school for the rest of my life.
      - The songs are absolutely incredible. Not only are they beautiful melodically, but also they actually tell the story of the musical. In a lot of other musicals, you really don't have to listen to the music super closely, but this one you do and its great to create a double-meaning of the story.
      - I love the way that the story is told, one man's life from multiple perspectives. Its not a unique way of storytelling, but it definitely is in the context of musical theatre.
      - In all the musicals I've watched, I got to say that Hamilton probably has the best singers in the West End (Wicked comes close) by far. Wow, the actors were good.
      - The choreography was also incredible interesting because its not in the classic musical theatre style that we know well, but hip hop instead.

Overall, absolutely fantastic experience watching Hamilton, I genuinely cannot recommend it more especially at the price where you can truly only find in London. I would love to come back to experience it all over again and I will be singing the soundtrack until the end of time...

Very convenient location directly across from the Victoria station. I came here to see Hamilton, and while it was packed, the theater staff is so professional and efficient. They kept all lines moving quickly from entry through the long restroom queue at intermission. They're also very helpful and sweet. Also, the show is absolutely amazing!

Saw Hamilton here, and I think this might be the most beautiful venue I've been to in London! We were seated in the grand circle, and we could see and hear everything perfectly. If you can see a show here, do it!

Beautiful Theatre. Saw Hamilton here in Jan 2024. Seats were a bit tight with less leg room than others? However the quality of the actors, the sound quality and total ambiance more than made up for that. Go see Hamilton. You will appreciate how close you can get. Much better seats available than on broadway at a much lower cost.

Came here on a Thursday night a few weeks ago to see Hamilton. I queued exactly 45 minutes ahead of time as mentioned in the email and there was already a bit of a line. The line moves crazy quick, the employees are very efficient with what they do as long as you have your reservation email ready. The outside isn't much to look at but the inside is absolutely gorgeous. The have a nice bar inside where you can grab a drink for surprisingly reasonable prices and relax while you wait for doors to open. You can take your drinks to your seat but know they have no cup holders and space in the aisles is pretty tight.

We were seated in the Stalls to the left and the seats were amazing for the price. Much cheaper than when i saw the show in Los Angeles. Seats were comfortable and at 5 "4" I had no issues with legroom. My friend is 5"10" and was considerably more limited but not to the point of being unbearable. The sound and effects were spectacular, no tech issues what so ever for our show. We were in Row E and I wouldn't recommend going any close than row D. The folks in the front 2 rows were looking straight up and looked very uncomfortable.

Would definitely come here again in the future, for my fellow Americans something to note is they do not give free Playbills, but do over small and large playbooks for 5-15 pounds or so.

This theatre is absolutely stunning! I won tickets to see Hamilton here through the theatre's lottery, and it was a great experience from start to finish.

There is a clearly marked queue where you wait to be let into the theatre before the show. The staff move you quickly through the queue, through security, and to your seats. There are several bars to visit while you wait for the house to open and the bar staff are all quite friendly and very efficient. The toilets in this theatre are also beautifully designed and spotlessly clean.

My seat was in the front row, so I had plenty of legroom compared to others. The only issue with my seat was that there is a wall in front of the orchestra pit that partially blocked my view of the stage. I was able to sit on my coat for a little boost, but if you are short like I am (5') or have any children in your party, they might have a hard time seeing.

The theatre is beautifully decorated and feels very glamorous. The lovely atmosphere coupled with courteous staff make for a really great night out.
