No need to be skeptical about Upsy Daisy anymore - it's a success and a total local gem.
I wake up most weekend mornings dreaming of their flat white, their luxury grilled cheese and their French toast with blueberries and maple syrup. Oh my word.
Upsy are even starting to have reserved tables now. Well done, but make sure there is always a seat for me please.
I had my first full (veggie) English breakfast here. It was delicious -- a very generous helping of eggs, veggies, bread and beans complemented by veggie sausage. The veggie sausage wasn't the best I've ever had... but it's hard to get that perfect.
The restaurant is very cozy, they have wifi and do takeaway as well, so I'll definitely be back for lunch at some point... if only to try the cupcakes. If you're in Hammersmith, it's worth a visit for brunch or just a cup of tea.
This little cafe is located in the no mans land between Hammersmith and Chiswick and is perfect for meeting friends for a quick lunch or coffee. When I visited the clientele was a good mix of locals with and without laptops.
My eggs benedict were lovely and I will definitely visit again when next in the area.
I've been to Upsy Daisy a few times for coffee and cakes or cream tea. Their scones are awesome, though sometimes they run out late in the day. I like the atmosphere. I've still not tried their cupcakes.
Adorable place, have been here 3 times now. The ambience and decor are 4 star but the food to me is decidedly average. I've had a sausage sandwich, a salad and soup twice. Everything was underseasoned, though it felt hearty and homemade. I've had the cupcakes which are cute, but for savoury food, you probs want to give it a miss x
Wonderful. Great food, service, and menu. Nice teashop feel to it.
Nice place to have a coffee and cakes. Staff is lovely.
Wonderful bakery -delicious scones!- and a cheerful atmosphere. Had a cream tea and sat next to the big front window. It's a great place to people watch and the coffee is really nice.
Lovely atmosphere, great cream teas and afternoon teas. All round a fantastic place.
As National Cupcake Champions selling the Best Cupcake in the UK is an honour and a privilege that we take extremely seriously. If our cupcakes are that good, then it is important to us that everything else we make has to be up to the same high standard too!
Every day our bakers make a unique selection of freshly baked goods, everything from sweet treats to savoury snacks, that we lovingly hand bake from scratch in our on site bakery.
Our all day breakfast, brunch & lunch dishes are all freshly made to order as well as our carefully brewed loose leaf teas & beautiful, barista made organic coffee.
At Upsy Daisy Bakery we believe in the honest goodness of simple foods made from quality ingredients & traditional cooking methods. We do not fry anything in our kitchen (we griddle & poach) to help give you a cleaner and tastier meal with a lot less fat! We do not use a microwave and avoid any nasty ingredients like Genetically Modified foods and chemical additives & preservatives.
Established in 2010.
Upsy Daisy Bakery opened her doors in leafy Hammersmith in July 2010 and is run by Emily Johnson and Matthew Warren.
As born & bred West Londoners, Emily & Matthew felt there was something lacking on our high streets and in the capital.
As a bright alternative to the ubiquitous American chains filling our high streets, Upsy Daisy Bakery is a contemporary version of a traditional English tearoom with an emphasis on quality, local ingredients & honest home baking.
We serve quality loose-leaf teas, barista made organic coffee and a selection of breakfast, brunch & lunch dishes all made to order and of course a plethora of lovingly made baked goods, all topped off with a beautiful afternoon tea.
In August 2012 Emily Johnson (Head Baker & Owner of Upsy Daisy Bakery) won the 'National Cupcake Championships.'
We can now boast 'Best Cupcake In The UK!'
In September 2012 we launched our new range of "Cuptails" (Cocktail Inspired Alcoholic Cupcakes!)
