About the Business
As National Cupcake Champions selling the Best Cupcake in the UK is an honour and a privilege that we take extremely seriously. If our cupcakes are that good, then it is important to us that everything else we make has to be up to the same high standard too! Every day our bakers make a unique selection of freshly baked goods, everything from sweet treats to savoury snacks, that we lovingly hand bake from scratch in our on site bakery. Our all day breakfast, brunch & lunch dishes are all freshly made to order as well as our carefully brewed loose leaf teas & beautiful, barista made organic coffee. At Upsy Daisy Bakery we believe in the honest goodness of simple foods made from quality ingredients & traditional cooking methods. We do not fry anything in our kitchen (we griddle & poach) to help give you a cleaner and tastier meal with a lot less fat! We do not use a microwave and avoid any nasty ingredients like Genetically Modified foods and chemical additives & preservatives.

No need to be skeptical about Upsy Daisy anymore - it's a success and a total local gem.
I wake up most weekend mornings dreaming of their flat white, their luxury grilled cheese and their French toast with blueberries and maple syrup. Oh my word.
Upsy are even starting to have reserved tables now. Well done, but make sure there is always a seat for me please.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 08 Aug 2010Previous reviewUpsy Daisy Bakery has just opened in July 2010. It's a beautiful small retro tea shop and cafe selling a range of organic teas and tisanes, pretty cupcakes, tempting pastries, sandwiches and brunches.
Inside it's the decor that your mum would die for - with patterned light blue and white wallpaper, pine furniture and light pouring in. The tableware matches perfectly as well - classy blue and white porcelain and every table blessed with a bunch of daisies.
We stopped in for a Saturday brunch, got comfortable on the padded bench seat at the back with copies of their free newspapers and flicking through some cool travel books too. My Americano was perfect and the English breakfast tea was just right. We shared a royale breakfast with smoked salmon, muffins, eggs and hollandaise. Also on our scorecard was cheddar cheese on brown toast with chilli jam and an almond croissant that was the size and look of a fossilised fish, but the remarkable sweet taste of a first class peshwari naan.
I'd been sceptical about Upsy Daisy Bakery. Was it another cupcake place for the Chiswick mums set? (they have toys and lets dogs in). Why is it so expensive? (brunch at the Ritz Caff opposite is so much more cholesterol per pound). But I got it once I tried it: it's expensive, but it's worth it - the quality and atmosphere here is several pounds better than elsewhere so don't be put off by the prices. Good luck to Upsy Daiy Bakery. - Juno J.London1231723918 Aug 2015
Popped in here on a lazy Sunday afternoon for lunch. Adorable little cafe in a quiet part of Chiswick. The staff were very kind and attentive and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Definitely the type of place you can go with a book and sit for hours without anyone bothering you. I had the gazpacho and an iced coffee which were both very good. I wish I would have had room for one of their baked goods afterwards as their selection looked incredible. I guess I will have to go back just for one of their award winning cupcakes. I will definitely come back soon for breakfast.. and a cake.

Ah, Upsy Daisy Bakery. This place is the definition of adorable and also holds a very special spot in my heart - I had my very first afternoon tea here and it was delightful.
Upsy Daisy is a hidden gem in the otherwise desolate Stamford Brook area (between Hammersmith and Chiswick). They are a mainly a cafe and bakery, but also serve a small selection of hot foods.
When I lived in West London I would pop over for afternoon tea every now and again. At under £15, it's a really good deal. You get three tiers of delicious baked goods, including those adorable finger sandwiches, and a selection of wonderfully moist cupcakes. The stars of the show, however, are the scones, clotted cream, and jam. I've since enjoyed scones with cream and jam all over England, and Upsy Daisy can hold its own with the best of them.
The staff here are very friendly, attentive, and I'd highly recommend it if you're in the area.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Peter S.Leeds, West Yorkshire2015781617 Dec 2014
Upsy Daisy Bakery is a unique bakery cum brunch place cum cafe. Think a stereotypically quaint English dining room with pastel pinks and blues. Then add an espresso machine. Then add award-winning cupcakes. The result? Upsy Daisy Bakery.
It's important though to know what you're getting into. The food and interior are English through and through. Not 'English' as Richard Curtis would have you believe, nor afternoon teas nor top hats (guffaw). No: English in the sense that any Brits in your party will proudly exult upon the food served, whilst other nationalities will express bafflement. Kinda like when 'that tune' comes on in a bar, quickly identifying all those people who were at school at that time.
And what, pray, is this cuisine? All the good stuff. Fish finger sandwiches with brown sauce and ketchup (yes!). Boiled egg with soldiers (yummy!) Sausage sandwiches (woohoo!). And of course, full English breakfasts. And all good representations of their kind.
There's yet more to Upsy Daisy though: fantastic cup cakes, well deserving of their award-winning status; pretty decent coffee that on the day we visited, upstaged that from Artisan across the road; above all, really friendly, helpful and quick service.
I'm really glad I found this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Caitlin S.London131978320 Feb 2016
It turns out that this place doesn't exist anymore - they are now Stamford Larder - so, sadly, they couldn't honour the free Cupcake offer :( SL itself is good though; I'll write a separate review for that...

English breakfast!
I had my first full (veggie) English breakfast here. It was delicious -- a very generous helping of eggs, veggies, bread and beans complemented by veggie sausage. The veggie sausage wasn't the best I've ever had... but it's hard to get that perfect.
The restaurant is very cozy, they have wifi and do takeaway as well, so I'll definitely be back for lunch at some point... if only to try the cupcakes. If you're in Hammersmith, it's worth a visit for brunch or just a cup of tea.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Meike B.London189120421677 Mar 2011
This little cafe is located in the no mans land between Hammersmith and Chiswick and is perfect for meeting friends for a quick lunch or coffee. When I visited the clientele was a good mix of locals with and without laptops.
My eggs benedict were lovely and I will definitely visit again when next in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarguru N.London167171717 Aug 2015
Full english breakfast was quite good. Quantity was decent. Toast was pretty good. Brunch smoothie was pretty good. Slightly pricey but has a good ambience and decent food.
