The outside is very decieving and you would never tell the size of the salon from the outside.
They have an Atrium waiting area which is light and airy with a water feature and comfy seating.
The wash basins look onto the atrium and the waiting area with 'special lighting which has been designed for make tyhe customer relax and enjoy their salon experience.
There is a large car park, good bus links, not far from the university and the lawns.
The market green also holds a market every week and looks fantastic when the christmas lights are switched on.

The place to go in Cottingham. Sharon is one of the best stylists i've ever had. Ben, is very proffesional and makes a point of getting to know everyone. They know who you are as you arrive and take great care of you right through until you leave. I've not only lived all over the uk but most of the world, and unigue suits me.
The staff at UNIQUE are very pleasant. My hair was styled by Ben/Dan(sorry don't remember his name),he did a gr8 job(my hair never looked so good in winters)also gave me advices while styling my hair. it was a spa like experience,But i think they are very costly.Charged 46 bucks just for my hair.
I went to Unique regularly for a while when my stylist moved there from another salon. It is a lovely looking place, but I found the staff stand-offish and not that welcoming, so I never really enjoyed my visits, although the haircuts were good. The final straw was when they told me they were going to start charging me an extra £10 because I have long hair. Given that I make trips to the hairdresser every 6-8 weeks, spending about £30-40, I thought that was a bit much. My overall impression was that I wasn't really valued as customer, despite my regular visits, and I went elsewhere. Strikes me as a place where your face has to fit - a bit pretentious.
