I love Kirsty Kirkpatrick's 'Uncommonly Beautiful' jewelry collection. Every thing here is unique, the whole stock recycled from old clothing and beads. It's such a nice feeling to buy something new and know that it's completely individual. Ok, a few of the items are a bit too fashion forward for every day wear but the bulk of the stock is very accessible.
The Uncommonly Beautiful stall sits almost in the centre of the Sunday Up Market and is immediately recognisable by the unique mix of materials used by the designer. Long necklaces hang from the wall made from ribbons, chains and wood, silk material is wrapped around badges to make interesting broaches and sweet silver bracelets mix chains and beads. Kirsty herself is incredibly chatty and helpful. Last time I was at her stall she enlisted me in an argument with her friend over whose turn it should be to buy lunch. I like informal touches like this and being given the power to really stir up an argument! I've been to Uncommonly Beautiful a few times recently (Christmas shopping extraordinaire) and while she's happily talked me through a few of the items, she's never tried to make me buy more than I wanted. Beautiful, ethical jewelry from a lovely lady!
