PLEASE NOTE: MY COMMENT WAS ABOUT TUMBLE TOTS on the WEST SIDE of Edinburgh. ORGINALLY THIS LISTING WAS FOR THEM BUT AFTER I WROTE THIS IT WAS CHANGED TO THE EDINBURGH EAST CLASSES. MY REVIEW APPLIES TO Edinburgh West. I have reported this and hope it will be changes.
My two kids have been involved in tumble tots over the years. The classes are all around Edinburgh, at different venues on different days of the week. They consist of a few action songs, lots of climbing and balancing on a kind of assault course they have set up around the room, and some tumbling.
We have been to classes at Murrayfield Parish Church and also David Lloyd, Corstorphine. We like the venues and the staff are great, friendly and knowledgable. Great with the kids!
The price is comparable to other children's activities - ie, jo jingles, art classes etc. None of them are exactly cheap, but it is hard to grudge them because they need to cover their costs! They run about £5.50 a child per lesson and you have to pay a yearly membership fee which I think was around £20-£25. If you are a member at David Lloyd they offer two classes that are free (other than the once yearly TT membership fee) for members which is fantastic if you are already a DL member!
My kids really love it and it has really built my younger child's confidence.
They offer classes from 6mths/crawling right up until school age.
It is a great way to get your young children active and also to build their confidence. I recommend it to anyone with babies, toddlers or pre-school kids - either girls or boys.
