It may not look like but this is probably the best turkish/Kurdish restaurant you can find in London. Try the lamb with pears and don't leave before you drunk a glass Raki. You can also smoke Shisha at the terasse (for a very reasonable price).
Hmm, I was very suspicious of this place given its proximity to our hotel. My dinner was good though - I got shish tawook. I thought it was kind of small, but then again I was starving b/c our schedule did not allow for regular meals, wah. There were a lot of locals in there, which usually means a place is authentic....I'd have to go there again to judge for sure. It wasn't very busy at 2100 hours. It got the job done, I'll say that.
A great little restaurant on the south bank near some of London's most popular attractions, but still not too touristy.
We have never had a bad meal here, or even a remotely less than excellent one. The food, as indicated in my opening sentence, is consistently good. The prices are very reasonable for London and extremely reasonable considering it is right across from the London Eye in the County Hall buildings. The staff are great and very friendly and if I could import the whole shebang to Houston I would be a happy camper. Oh, wait, I hate bugs, so more a happy caravan-er then?
