I've only visited this Toys R Us store twice - both times thanks to the imminent arrival of baby! This store is MASSIVE and incorporates a Babies R Us too.
I went today to pick up and order I had reserved online, it was quick and easy to pick up the item and the customer service was excellent. The member of staff checked whether there was any discount vouchers applicable to the item I'd reserved and I ended up paying £10 less than I had expected. Brilliant result! Especially when the item was already at a great price compared to Mamas & Papas, John Lewis etc.
I was also given the form to sign up for the Mother & Babies club to get yet more discount vouchers etc. One very happy customer here who will definitely be back!
There's a magical place, we're on our way there, with toys in their millions all under one roof, it's called Toys 'R' Us!
I used to love the Toys 'R' Us advert when I was younger, but I loved the actual shop even more. As soon as this advert comes on TV with Geoffrey the giraffe, you know it's Christmas!
This place is toy heaven and I remember throwing tantrums when my parents said it was time to leave. I wanted everything! The most exciting part was the section with the little houses where you could run in and out of them and host tea parties for the other youngsters running around, It was great. I also especially enjoyed trying out the little play cars and parking my yellow and red number outside my new plastic abode.
It was even better to see the goods arriving at my real abode on Christmas day, thanks Santa!
I got to go to this Toys 'R' Us quite a lot and think that's probably only because it's right next to ASDA, so after my parents had done their weekly shop they let me run around here for a while, probably to shut me up.
This particular store is absolutely massive and It's still got an air of magic about it, it's called Toy 'R' Us, Toy 'R' Us, Toy 'R' Us!
Toys R Us really is a toy emporium! I don't think there is another store quite like it in the UK and the store on Helen Street is exceptionally huge! If you are looking for a toy and Toys R Us doesn't sell it, it probably doesn't exist! The store is divided into toys for girls, boys, babies and preschool children. There is also the games wall where you'll find all manner of board games and jigsaws. I am a big fan of the construction wall which consists of a plethora of lego and meccano type toys which would keep kids and adults amused for hours! There are also multimedia toys such as Wii and PS3 games and Hannah Montana TV sets.
I love the Universe of Imagination section in Toys R Us also which contains learning toys such as leapfrog computers and arts and crafts. Toys R Us also has a good selection of kids and adults bikes which they can build for you in the shop. Although most of the Babies R Us stand alone stores have closed down the Toys R Us store on Helen Street contains a Babies R Us department within it. This sells cots, buggies, breast pumps, all sorts!
Be warned, if you take your kids into this store they may never let you leave!
This is a huge toys 'r' us and has a massive selection of indoor and outdoor toys for children of all ages. There is also a babies 'r' us section within the store which sells nursery goods, feeding items, prams and some basic baby clothes.
The store is well laid out with plenty of space between the aisles. Open 7 days a week.
A fantastic big store filled full of toys and games. I think I was the biggest kid in here as they stock a range of lego! They have a good range of toys for all ages and for both boys and girls, we got a football for a wee girl in here and the price was really good.
They stock board games and they had buy two and get a third free. The store was well laid out and the majority of the toys were placed in age groups.
There is also a section called babies r us and there were a few prams on show, blankets etc. It is located further into the shop. It was good to see everything 'under one roof' as the advert says.
This is one toy shop I would recommend for small and big kids alike.
This massive toy store has everything a child could possibly want, with video games for the rebellious youngster to stuffed toys for the infant. The layout is quite child friendly, though it does force you to walk through parts of the store, probably to entice children into buying the most popular wares on offer! Staff are quite friendly, though their knowledge of the items being sold can be quite limited unfortunately.
Great selection of toys across all the ages. Tend to leave my 2 daughters behind when visiting otherwise it costs far too much.
Awful soulless den of a place. As if the location wasn't bad enough the staff are some of the worst that could be found. Lazy, rude and unhelpful but yet it's hard not to feel sorry for them having to work there day after day.
Not only is the shopping experience bad, it's filthy too. Feel the need to shower as soon as I leave the place. With a few wee changes it could be so much better. Shameful really.
good big toy shop i go there with my godson so i dont look like such a weirdo but i enjoy it more than him and hes only 18months lol lots and lots of toys and games they also sell big outdoor toys like slides and sandpits but i dont have a garden otherwise id have some of them too lol friendly staff nice an clean and well stocked
gigantic toy store. my daiughter just loves this place. there are loads of aisles with different toys (obviously)( but lots of toys are out for young people to play on and try out. there are toys of all price here and like any toy shop it can be hard to divert kids onto more affordable items. the staff are helpful and there is good car parking (it is also handy for asda and macdonalds)
