One review for Tower Bridge Exhibition
All Reviews
For those who are interested in sight seeing but may not want to visit the gory London Bridge Experience, why not check out the Tower Bridge Exhibition?
Its a great value for the money, and by the way a coupon is available in those touristy-map brochures you pick up at hotels and hostels.
You begin by taking an elevator up to the top of the bridge. From there you can look across the Thames and see many famous landmarks. A nice feature is that they have a photo which points out what each of these buildings are. That cool pineapple-shaped building? Why its 30 St. Mary Axe!
The Tower Bridge Exhibition is also great for history and trivia buffs. There are a lot of cool stories related to this bridge. These are relayed through movies, story boards, and artifacts.
To descend, you must take the stairs. But at the bottom there is an additional tourist area with more hands-on exhibits and an opportunity to see all the steam mechanisms that used to move the bridge. And the obligatory gift shop.
