This TK Maxx is a bit off the beaten track in East London. It is situated beside a huge Asda. I came here with a friend some time ago, she has a car which you kind of need to get here.
I like TK Maxx because of the quality of the products they sell. You are guaranteed to find some great brand name products here at really decent prices. Such as snow boots which my friend bought and a snow jacket which was £150 reduced to £80 which i bought.
Is it just me or are the TK Maxx shops in other cities far better than the ones we have in London? The one in Cardiff is amazing, even the Shrewsbury one has some decent stuff in it and I can find stuff I like.
This store has some decent stuff at cheap prices but it's like a warzone: heaving with shoppers any day of the week, some of the merchandise is actually damaged and still on the shelves and the queues are huge.
I do find TK Maxx useful for luggage, suits and socks so don't get me wrong, I am usually a fan. But not of this one.
A busy TK Maxx, with as other reviews have said, a good share of great bargains. The sales racks often contain a few high end labels too- such a Prada, etc. Mainly, you can bank on them stocking Calvin Klein items- from jumpers to underwear, and Jeans from Wrangler, Lee and Levis. Sadly the credit crunch seemed to have made this store even busier, which makes it hard work to find those bargains!! Still worth it my opinion, but be ready for a rummage!!
Oh, also, beware of this place if have have a particularly nervous disposition, as there is a gym above the shop and quite often strange loud thumps ring through the air!! I was quite alarmed at first but now I know there is a gym above the shop, it's not so weird!!
A decently sized TK Maxx just across the road from Leyton tube station. Only on the 1 floor, has a decent shoe selection for both sexes, good range of mens clothing, women's isn't huge, decent handbag / suitcases section, no homewares & think there's a childrens clothing section.
There are larger better TK maxx's around London, like Hammersmith or Ealing.
Situated in the Leyton Mills retail park, below the Fitness First gym, this TK Maxx offers a good selection of clothing, shoes, household goods and other random items.
Prices are generally reasonable, and a selection of well known designer labels are mixed in with the racks of cheaper, unheard of brands.
Racks are generally kept in reasonable array, although you do need to be willing to spend a bit of time searching through them for items you might like.
A good place to go if you want to find some reasonably priced, good quality clothing or household equipment - although beware of the thuds and thumps that will accompany your shopping experience as the gym-goers above drop their weights on the floor!
This TK Maxx is great - but as with all of them you have to have time on your hands to search for the rails of mediocrity to find a gem - and in the past I have found many. Now I have a baby, time is not so plentiful, but it means that I can check out the babywear department for bargains there!
