The hotel is very nice, and the rooms are classical and well-built. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good, but the breakfast made a few of us sick (undercooked eggs it seems). I'm removing a star for that which was unfortunate.

A 5 star hotel with a 1 star restaurant. I recommend the hotel, but avoid its El Jardi eatery, can't call it a restaurant, at all costs. We ate their last night. We ordered the octopus, a salad, and a chicken paella. First impressions - dirty menu covers, I mean really dirty. Octopus was not fresh and I believe Valencia has some access to fresh octopus since it's on the Mediterranean Sea. The salad looked like it was plated by a school cafeteria cook, and the chicken paella was most likely cooked using salt water from the Mediterranean. The funny part was they ration bread, by giving you half a slice at a time. I'm not sure what Marriott is doing operating such a terrible restaurant at the Westin.

Beautiful hotel, nice staff, great gym and spa, good food and perfect location. All ruined by short sheets.

We opted to spend the Valencia portion of our 2 weeks in Spain at the Westin based on their website description and the reputation of the Westin chain. While the hotel itself is quite nice, there were some issues that keep it at the just OK level - the first of which is arrival. Hotel staff was advised that we would be arriving early based on our flight schedule and that we were there to celebrate our anniversary. We were advised at check in that the room wouldn't be ready for an hour. It took at least a couple hours. The staff wasn't particularly welcoming and it was noticeable. While the room was nice the water closet area was blazing hot due to a full window exposed to the hot sun. Never got comfortable.
We were under the impression that it was relatively close to the historic downtown area. It's not. A full 20-25 minute walk will get you to the Cathedral square. As a result you're in an area without a lot of dining options and a long walk to remedy that. There is no coffee in the lobby. I would have expected more from the Westin. We had to walk 10-15 minutes each morning to get coffee. In addition, the Westin was the only hotel out of the 5 we stayed in that didn't acknowledge our quite notable anniversary in any way. Each of the others sent up champagne and/or chocolates.
If you're just looking for a comfy overnight hotel this place should work. If you want more, keep looking.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 20 Oct 2016
Stayed 2 nights here. Very nice high end hotel. Located about 5 minutes walk from the Turia Park, 2 minutes walk from Aragon subway station and about 15/20 minutes walk to reach Plaza de la Reina in downtown Valencia. Friendly and helpful staff. If you rent a bike, they have a bicycle parking spot downstairs into the parking lot to accommodate you. Buffet breakfast was good but in the bad part, service was a bit slow to get our coffee.

This hotel has a very impressive appearance. The rooms are very vintage. You feel like you are back in time. They are also very clean and the staff very helpful. Location was fantastic very centric. Room service was delicious and very fast. The restaurants are nice but they take way too long to bring food to your ya able. Breakfast bar was good standard, lots of cheeses, potato and egg pies, breads and fruit. This was a good hotel not very memorable , however a good one.

I've stayed at hotels with nicer views, or facilities but I'm not sure if I've ever stayed at one that had service like this hotel. We came in early on the train from barcelona, a room was not available but they gladly took our luggage and said to give us an hour. We came back in an hour and not only was our room ready but they gave us an upgraded room with a private balcony. Part of this may be to our status with starwood, but I am not certain about that. Hotel is gorgeous, the bar area is amazing with wonderful staff that go above and beyond.
We had chocolates delivered to our room and then later a special bottle of water with a note from the manager. Every detail was clearly painstakingly thought through at this hotel. The courtyard area is beautiful and the amazing herbal tea in the lobby is like nothing I've ever tasted. I'be become accustomed to the snooty but kind attitude at european hotels and have just accepted that as part of the culture, but wow this place should be giving lessons to hotels of the world as far as service goes.
The location is a slight, but enjoyable walk to the downtown area and square. I think you'll be glad you stayed here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 68158586564 Jul 2012
Conveniently located within walking distance of most sites in Valencia. This hotel is only two floors and gives off a boutique hotel feel. The inside of the hotel has a nice courtyard in the middle with a gorgeous garden. Rooms are very spacious. Not sure if all the rooms have it, but our room had a nice patio and hot tub.
Our rate included free breakfast and the options were abundant. They had the usual cereal, granola, fruit, and precooked eggs, ham, bacon, as well as an omelette station.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Annett B.Burbank, United States110410215 Oct 2019

I've been a regular guest for the past 5 months on business trips. What I really enjoy is that I know what to expect here and that Westin delivers.
Personally, I really like the location. It's a 15 minute walk to restaurants and shops, very close to the Jardins del Turia (the park, good for running), but yet quiet, so you get a good rest to be fit for work the next day. Also, parking situation is really good.
The hotel is located in a beautiful old building which used to be a textile plant as I heard. Therefore, it is absolutely no standard looking hotel and the rooms are arranged around a nice quite attic.
I think the rooms reflect a good, but not outstanding standard. Everything you need is there, every now and then something needs fixing, but overall it's good. Most bathrooms have seperate shower and bathtub.
Breakfast offers a wide variation of fresh fruit, joghurt, bread, rolls, waffles, cheese, cold cuts and everything else you would expect on a continental breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, coffee is really not good. But then, it's hardly ever good in hotels.
Finally, staff is always friendly and helpful. You can ask them anything from where to get certain goods up to where you can park your car for free (although they offer garage parking).
For business trips, this is my preferred hotel in Valencia.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
