use to be my local, in 05-06, food is good, and so is service, keep up the good work, i shall be back,
Large public house situated on the outskirts of Rochford. PArking can become difficult if you are disabled as the car parking spaces soon fill up as the pub is very popular. Overspill parking has to be made in local roads where residents park so can become busy. Good range of drinks and food available with entertainment and quiz nights.
A nice little village pub with good entertainment nights such as the quiz night every Thursday. Drink prices as quite reasonable, however there is not a great stock or real ales. The pub garden is lovely in the summer and there is lots of play equipment for the kids to play on, making this a fantastic place for families. There food on offer is well cooked, and there are various promotions such as 2 meals for 7.99 however the range for vegetarians can be quite poor. There is quite a good sized car park however this will fill up on busy nights, but the Vic is on the corner of Albert road which can also be used to park up. Definitely worth a visit if you are local.
The pub it's self is a bit Dated but OK The food is avarage pub style food but the real problem lies with the Landlord and his wife who are almost always drunk and can be very nasty and aggressive!! I've lived in the area for 20 years and don't know anybody that will go now because of these two.You will also have a long wait to be served as the Regulars are always blatentley served first, i can only assume the other people who have reviewed fit into this catagory.I for one would never go there!!
