If you are looking for the best hangover cure in Darlington you will find it here. Fabulous bacon butties!
The decor is pretty much what you would expect for a greasy spoon but staff are friendly and service is quick.
Not the best in town in my opinion when it come to the full English.. But certainly not the worst if you can get a seat that is.. Staff are a bit hit and miss too.. But then so would you if you'd worked in the same place for that long.. But all in all it's not bad..
Very friendly place and a very typical looking greasy spoon. I always find myself quite disappointed by the grub. But it's a Darlington institution.
A part of Darlingtons history the three squares has been providing bacon sarnies to die for for over 50 years. Clean simple food and great chat has made this one of the busiest places to eat despite being small, barely able to fit 10 people in. Portions of breakfast require a plate twice the size of your average cafe and the only food fried is the chips as they grill everything on a flat iron griddle. Fame struck in the 80's when a tv programme used it as a favorite scoffing joint for Boon and his fish finger sarnies. Oddly enough that was the only time they were served. This is a must visit place for anyone visiting Darlington.
We were queing for at least 15minutes and in the end walked out, and were snarled at as we did so by staff. smelt like grease all day afterwards.Doesn't look the cleanest of places to eat.
i love this cafe, me an my friend always go in for chips
Very unhygienic serving food where there is nowhere to wash your hands, no toilets, food being prepared and stored next to an open door way and grumpy, moody staff no thanks!
