When I first walked past the textile workshop I thought it would be just another crafters shop in the same vein as Hobbycraft. I was so wrong! There is so much to this small shop snuggled away in Sherwood.

Firstly the shop itself. It sells all sorts of sewing/crafting equipment. It sell ever so cute handmade items, ranging from scarves to jewellery. The 2 women that run this shop are incredibly helpful. Any advice that you need, they are on hand to help and there is no hard sell buy from me that you would get in many other shops. If you are looking for a sewing machine this is the place to come, you will get honest advice here, and expert advice too.

Now the most amazing part of this company. I call it a company, because to just call it a shop would be doing it a diservice. Since this company opened up about a year ago they have created an amazing array of courses. Everything from dress making to mosaics to NLP to jewellery making and so much more. If you want to get creative come here! The courses are run in association with South notts college and are quite heavily funded, so they are SO reasonably priced. I defy you to find a cheaper 20 week course anywhere in Notts. All the people that I have met who do the courses are lovely as well, which is a rarety. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful and many of them are artists in their own right. Fab place!
