Visited this place with 3 friends on a Tuesday evening. A charming gasto pub. It wasn't heaving with people, no problem getting a table. There wasn't any music playing so this place is ideal if you want somewhere to chat.
The service was excellent as was the food. I had a lovely ceasar salad starter, succulent steak for the main course and finished with a scrumptious sticky toffee pudding. All were very yummy. As was the bottle of malbec...Highly recommended
Rude bar staff, once went here with my Irish cousin and they looked down their nose at him because of his accent. Also took ages to serve us so they clearly didn't want him in there.
Food was bland, drink was also well over priced.
Popped in on Sunday for a burger with the missus and boy.
Nice bun. Good condiments. Great burger and tasty bacon and cheese.
Decent price. Sunday papers provided. Comfy smart surroundings. It's never too packed in here.
This area is full of proper good pubs to eat and this one holds its own. Not quite the quirky charm of the Andover or the food smarts of the Anglsea. But a good middle ground and nice beers too.
All a-ok here, one of the better pubs in Hammersmith and it doesn't tend to get too much of the undesirables clogging it up with chavness.
A short walk from King St this is definitely a gastro where you can sit outside if you can grab one of the few tables and enjoy some a-ok food. Atmosphere has been lacing on a few of my visit's, so if they can sort that out and get the place a buzz if will do fine. Nothing wrong with it and worth a visit if you are close or in Hammersmith for the evening.
Nice enough bar with a pleasant feel to it and the food is something that they are trying hard to get right - Worth a visit.
Friendliest pub staff, decent food, good wine, and fun outdoor seating - with heaters! Best part is that is was close to the office. I miss this local pub.
Great space, not busy during the week. Decent wine list - malbec and barberas are good. Good apps too, like potatoes wedges and hummus/pita bread. Overall it's a really relaxed, comfortable setting.
Wooden floors, wooden tables, wooden bar, this fairly recent renovation is typical of the new age boozer. Now attracting a youngish crowd it makes a good fist of gastropub food with plenty of options on draft beers. Not a destination to make a bee-line for, but worth dropping in if your in the area and want a slightly upmarket pie & pint.
Very pleased to see this place at number one. Food and the drink is superb. Service is fantastic. Cannot recommend enough. A credit to Hammersmith!
Good food, good beers, very enjoyable pub in Hammersmith.
I am regular and not even living in the area.
This is a really friendly pub in the middle of Hammersmith that does great food and has a lovely atmosphere. You can book a table which avoids stress of getting there and not being able to sit down when you've arranged to meet people. Service is excellant - you can sit at the table and someone will come and take your order. Food includes things like steak, salmon, sharing plates of humous and pitta, etc etc, all of which I've found to be very good quality and very well cooked. Puddings are also good and they carry a good selection of wines and beers too.
Lovely Sunday lunch here. Nice chilled atmosphere with mellow tunes playing. The location isn't the most relaxing but once inside it feels like what a boozer should be like, ok it's more gastro pub than boozer, but it still has a nice feeling to it.
Food was good too, not in the amazing category but certainly of a quality and quantity that is worth the money.
I like how the pub tries to give you a little more too, like the British film sunday, or the artwork you can buy on the walls. It makes each visit a little more than the norm.
All in all a good job, keep up the good work.
Nice pub. Good beer. Nice staff.
