This is one of my favourite pubs in Guildford. It's a few minutes walk from the centre being near to Guildford College. It was originally an Irish theme pub "Finnigan's Wake" but in the past few years it has been refurbished into a modern and spacious foody pub.

I'm not a big drinker so I won't comment on what they serve. I suppose it's the usual stuff. Suffice to say they sell beer. However what sets this place apart from me is their menu.

They have a fantastic pizza oven which turns out excellent pizzas with exciting choices. Take the crispy duck and fajita pizzas for example. The crispy duck pizza has, of course, crisp shredded duck and plum sauce. The fajita pizza is topped with salsa, chicken, guacamole and sour cream.

There is plenty of spacious seating and a seperate lounge area with sofas and pool tables. A great place to spend a couple of hours in.

    Tip:
Instead of ordering a medium or large pizza for yourself order two smaller pizzas so you can experience the different choices. If you're with friends order a selection to share amongst yourselves - it's the best way!

Pizza's are nice. I hear the roast dinners aren't good. They seem to lack bar staff at times, having to queue for a while. They have a couple of pool tables, itbox, pinball machine and board games. They have sky sports.

Large pub, judging by the other photos. Didn't get a chance to check it all out, but the bit I did see was very good. the staff were friendly and polite. well worth a visit.

Nice pub. Does not smell of spilled beer. The service is friendly, but can sometimes be a bit slow. Good lunch deal. I have only tried the pizzas on the food menu. The dough is thin and crisp and better than I've had at some dedicated Italian restaurants. The basic margharita is disappointing; no fresh basil to be seen. However, there are several original and tasty combinations such as the pear and goat cheese. Overall, a place to be recommended.
