A brilliant shop that is luckily on my doorstep! It's a in a residential area with very limited parking but easily accessible by bus or if you were cheeky then you could park in Tesco and walk there. Better still take a stroll from the city along the Cam.
The shop specialises in all things knitting. I'm not a knitter so I went on a course with Harvey on beginners and it was brilliant excellent value. Sarah, the owner welcomed us with cakes and tea whilst we waited to set up. Harvey was a great teacher and made it very clear to the four of us how to get started. It was so good to see the shop busy whilst we were there and it really is a local secret that I hope people find and use. I note from their website that they support and run a lot of knitting groups in the city too.
The Sheep Shop is a welcoming knitting and yarn shop in Cambridge. You'll find fabulous touchy-feely yarns, knitting needles & crochet hooks and fleece for felting and spinning, as well as items from local producers.
We think choosing what you're going to make and feel between your fingers for the next few hours or weeks is one of life's pleasures, and we want to make it a pleasure for you to find what you need. Make yourself comfy on our sofa, there's a Ravelry station and coffee on tap.
Making beautiful and practical things brings enormous satisfaction, and we hope to help bring this contentment to others.
