Amazing assortment of starters to go with your drinks. The weekend crowd can be a put-off, especially if you have to wait around for a table. Your best bet is to do a takeaway (they even have a separate takeaway hotline) and your food is ready for collection piping hot. They even do a delivery (you pay the taxi guy his fare for picking up and delivering your food!)
Their garlic mogo is worth dying for... have it with chilled beer.
Staff are very very friendly... the manager, the kitchen staff, etc.
I've been nagging my friends for ages to take me to a typical Indian pub. Finally we went to this "local" which actually turned out to be a massive place with TV screens in every corner.
You have to ring a bell to be buzzed in; if you come in a larger group and are very lucky you are given one of the alcove tables.
This has not been the best Indian food I have ever tasted, but our visit to The Regency has definitely been one of the most authentic experiences.
Not for the faint hearted as all dishes are quite spicy.
Right guys for those in the know this is not a new concept but for many of you out there..................................... it is something very unique. It is like a sports bar which serves the most high quality indian tapas like snacks(delicious sheekh kebabs) and curries that you will not find in your local high street Indian restaurant(which as you know are run by non-indians and cater to a more milder European palate). The food served here is mind blowing and there is taste oozing out of all the dishes.I love the bbq dishes -especially the mouth watering and succulent sheekh kebabs. It is busy every night so go early to avoid disappointment.Check out their website for an appetizer to whats to come when you go there
A lovely place to visit for a great dining experience, very private (like a members club), it's like walking into someones lounge with a bar, television screens, and large kitchen serving indian food. Tends to get very busy in the evenings but have extended the seating inside which has made a great difference...would definitely recommend!
