Palatial yes, a palace? No indeed.
The people were lovely, the food was nice, but the hotel was at it's peak when people still travelled to take the waters, now they just buy it in bottles and stay away.
My room was the most colourful I have ever stayed in! Purple curtains, brown carpet, blue throw cushions and 4 different greens on the door alone! Not good for a hangover :-)
It had a nice pool, which was bigger than the usual puddle one gets, but the water was cloudy. Maybe it was meant to be like that?!
It was reasonable for being a tourist. The rooms are big but maybe just a bit outdated. The outside is great though, especially for pictures. Breakfast was nice and the dining room is very nicely decorated. The light fixtures and entrance still have a grand feeling but sadly the elevator was down a few times and there were water leaks in the hallways which were a pitty :( Its got great views! Would stay again, seems like the gym and pool are very popular! Take an extra blanket and adapter -or you may want to ask for them at check in... Wi-Fi was only accessible in the hallways and downstairs not in the room.
