I have been wanting to visit this place for years. Having the opportunity to pass by enroute to Cornwall I had my chance.I had no idea it was so large. As well as the actual wall of remembrance there is 152 acres of land segregated into areas for each service & then into garden areas for specific arms & units. Most of the trees are still in there infancy so it will become truly majestic in years to come. A fitting tribute finally to those that gave up there lives for our future.
Went visit the memorial 11/6/13. The car parking was easy, small charge of £3.00 all day, the entrance to the shop is close to the car park no entrance fee, but you can leave a donation, shop and restaurant first class, clean toilets, just make sure you have a good pair of shoe the park covers about 150 acres, well worth buying a map, visit the wall it is very moving covering all servicemen killed since 1949.
