Wanna 'Rock your Body' with Justin Timberlake, you know the video with the palate of flashing rainbow lighting canvassing his chiselled smile? Just transport yourself to the Lightbox for the same effect, but a less attractive collective of backing dancers.
I was here for a themed 'Malice in Wonderland' fetish party called Club Rub, a night that made my work colleague belly laugh for a full 20 minutes due to that cunning alliteration. It was kinda like a softcore Torture Garden, although actually I saw some fairly hardcore 'activities' which cannot be repeated within the confines of this text box. I would say the bathrooms are cleaner than average though, and if you're lucky you may even be serenaded by compliments/gestures from a gorgeous girl or two! Cryptic enough? Job done.

I came to Lightbox on a Thursday night which is a student night, and it was fairly empty even though we arrived in the small hours of the morning.
The room is really very cool - the lights and smoke machine give a very unique effect and the smoke filled the room which didn't make it seem quite so empty.
Despite the lack of people, the music was good and the atmosphere was quite nice, so it was a fun night. The drinks were overpriced for a student night which was very disappointing.
I found the bouncers very nice, not as aggro as many can be, they had a casual chat with me and my friends, weren't rude at all.
What I found bizarre was that Lightbox don't allow you to take pens in. A strange thing to be upset about but I had come with a work bag which had a lot of stationary in, which had to be confiscated. A bit of a shame!
Regardless, I will definitely be visiting again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katherine R.London452555515 Sept 2011First to Review
This used to be part of Fire Club next door, but they have now seperated it, occasionally bringing the rooms back together.
The main room with small lights all over the walls and ceilings that pulse to the music is what makes this place uniaue.
The security and general vibe of the people is good and friendly, with serious dance music.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (sfeena…)London40621413 Oct 2009
I came here for a bugged out night at the weekend and had a really good time!
I found it to be a very interesting venue with a variety of rooms and a large outside area with huge tables bit enough to fit the whole group round!
The bars have a great selection of drinks (if a little pricey) but could have done with more staff.
My favourite room had a brilliant display of lights that created patterns all over the ceiling and the walls using millions of individual bulbs!
Really great place if you're looking for a big night out with some mates. Good times had by all!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (Leahy1…)London01427 Sept 2011
Quite a small club, wicked venue for a night out. Went on a drum and bass night and had a wicked time. Sound system is very loud and bassy. Lights in the cealing and on the walls add a cool effect. Drinks arent to badly overpriced and staff are friendly.
