A nice pub for all tastes. I have just returned from a motorbike rally there and all were made to feel welcome.
Two real ales on handpumps were, today, Fuller's London Pride and Woodland Bitter, which I think is a local microbrew, although none of the barstaff seemed to have been briefed!
Food was extremely good, I had a baked Cheshire potato with chilli and cheese for £2.50 - one of the best I have tasted in a long time.
Personally, I don't like the profusion of new-style pumps for the popular keg beers; Covered in fake condensation and forcing the barstaff to serve at eyelevel.
Plenty of parking and a magnificent view across the road to the Shropshire Union canal.
We had to leave before the band for the night started to perform, but it seems that they have regular sessions of live performers as well as karaoke nights.
