I choose this hotel for its location as I had an event close by. For a London hotel it was very well priced though naturally not very plush. However for a quick London base it was very good.

I booked directly with them through the internet and had no problems. The receptionist was efficient but very matter of fact. The entrance was clean and well presented.

We were on the ground floor but I didn't find it unduly noisy. What I was surprised by was the size of the room - huge and airy compared to the shoebox rooms of other, more expensive London hotels I've stopped in. We had 2 single beds back in an alcove, a large desk/dressing table, coffee & tea, television and coffee table. It all felt very roomy. The decor wasn't great but it was clean. The bathroom was small but well presented with the toilet seperate which I actually prefered. There was also a small room safe.

I didn't take up their breakfast, which I've heard from other sources is simple. The thing is the hotel is located so close to other facilities I was happy just to use it as a base. You are just a couple of minutes walk from BBC Broadcasting House, Regant Street and Oxford Street. Also in the streets around the hotel there are some very nice pubs, some of which serve some good 'pub grub'.

It may not be the hotel to choose for a romatinc get away or to be based at for a long time but for a reasonable priced, clean, no frills room in a good location it is worth booking.
