Haywards Heath, West Sussex
Visited for lunch with two small children and a granny. Lunch was nice, but expensive - maybe I'm out of touch with how much pub food costs these days, but I was surprised to note that it cost more per head than a lunch at Carluccio's in central London.
Staff not unfriendly, but a bit brisk. We were slight put off by various signs about children - one warning that one shouldn't purchase food if you couldn't guarantee your children would sit quietly while you ate. And another about disposal of nappies. Not exactly welcoming.

Gorgeous and charming pub. Food is delicious and plenty to eat. Great variety. Service has always been great. Would heartily recommend this. We would go a lot more often if they took bookings. We'd love to go on birthdays or for special occasions but because they don't take bookings it isn't worth the risk of spoiling the day.
