I stayed here for one night last spring and was pleasantly surprised. I got the room at the very last minute directly from the hotel site (which seemed to be cheaper than any of the aggregators.

The hotel entrance and common areas were really fancy and impressive, much more so than the rooms. For £130 I got a single room which was tiny, but nice enough considering the location. The hotel itself has an entrance into Victoria Station so it's really central.  The room was pretty dated and a little shabby, but seemed clean enough and since I was desperate I was willing to settle for anything. In other cities I've had closets the size of this room, but London requires a serious lowering of standards in situations like these for those who are trying to survive on a salary rather than an inheritance.
