The gym is very well equipped and the instructors were friendly. The studio sessions give you a very good work out to loud ear-splitting music tracks, the downside being that my ears are still ringing!
Leisure centre and swimming pool.
Gym well equipped and instructors available but not always that helpful.
The swimming pool is very busy at weekends and full of kids and so for swimming week days evenings are best and they even have an evening in the week which is women only for swimming and the hold fitness classes too.
I live in Abingdon so the Didcot Wave leisure centre is a bit of a drive away, but worth it in my opinion.
I usually go there for the pool, which is really nice. There is a shallow beach area so even people with poor mobility can use the pool.
There is also a deeper part of the pool so you can actually swim lengths, part of this is sometimes divided into lanes for the serious swimmers.
Every so often they turn the wave machine on, which makes the pool especially attractive to children!
The leisure centre is always clean and well maintained and the staff are generally quite helpful.
Frendly and helpful staff behind the desk and in the cafe. Changing rooms are clean 99% of the time. Lack of seating in the cafe area when the swimming lessons are going on but fine at any other time of the day.
