The Cornerhouse has everything, a cinema, a casino, plenty of restaurants and a bar. You could basically spend a day and a night here entertaining yourself with a variety of activities.
You can always drop in during the day for a quick subway too, it's right in the centre of town so you'll probably end up going there quite a bit. Saltwater is a great restaurant, probably my favourite in the cornerhouse, students can get a discount here as well like most places in nottingham which is great. Even if you're not a student you can get the cornerhouse card which gives 10% discount and you can use in quite a few places in the cornerhouse.
The Cornerhouse has everything you need in one building, restaurants, a cinema, nightclubs, a casino and even a Subway. You could technically spend a whole evening here, but I'd particularly recommend Tamatanga and Wagamamas to eat in. You also get a discount in most places with the Cornerhouse Card, tends to be 10% off Monday to Thursday so I'd recommend coming out then. The cinema also offers a student discount.
There are also hair and beauty salons, though I haven't had a chance to visit them yet.
The cornerhouse has a huge cinema, lots of places to eat, i reccomend the chinese buffet + pasta hut (:
It is also very close to rock city and the theatre royal!
This place is marvellous - lots of choice and things to see.
Prices aren't cheap but it's in the centre of the city.
There's also lots of things to see and do around the area too.
The corner house is great! The cinema is good, the bars are nice! it's well situated! Subway is really handy for late night munchies after gigs, as it is close to rescue rooms and rock city.
The Cornerhouse is a very pleasant place to visit, and has made for a very enjoyable evening on more than one occasion, where you can go for a meal (I usually choose Subway, but for those of you with more discerning tastes, you're spoilt for choice) followed by a film in the large multiplex cinema which takes up most of the complex. The building is usually kept clean, and I love the design of the building, and the atmosphere can be very pleasant at times. Its also well located for the city centre and the tram. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice evening!
If you want a nice night out this is the place to go. It has two cinemas, a cinema store, a casino and just about any type restaurant you want even healthy eating at subway! and right in the middle of nottingham right across from the Theatre! This really is the place to be on a saturday night if you aren't into pubbing and clubbing.
the best place for entertainment in nottingham
the cinemas are great and it is centrally located in the town centre so is easily accessible to everyone
Im not that impressed with these big multiplex cinema's and althought his one is very convenient for the tram and town, I prefer something more intimate. I find the chairs are very uncomfortable, and dont really like the see through escalators and all the glass, im scared of heights and always feel a bit giddy. An incident happened there a few years ago and it scared me ever since.
Lots of trendy places to grab lunch or non-pretentious dinner, a cineworld, and a few bars. Must say the Flaming Dragon chinese buffet is an absolute favourite! And its an utter bargain. Ask for student discounts.
A stunning building housing a selection of restaurants ranging from cheap 'n cheerful Subway to the top end and excellent Saltwater. The cinema section is well designed, spacious and modern and is a real escape from the busy town below. Great views too from inside the impressive glass facade.
A great place to go for a night out. The building contains a big cinema with a lot of screens, showing a good number of films. There are a lot of restaurants also in the building and a subway. The location of The Cornerhouse is good. The building itself looks good with a lot of colourful lights that can be seen from outside. It is possible to get a Corner House card so that you can get reductions in restaurants that are part of the Corner House.
Bella italia have such really nice food and the prices are pretty fair for the taste and quality of the food, weather your on a date or out with friends you have a really good evening and i love the whole italian feel of the place it's like a proper little bistro, its a really good atmosphere inside and the staff and waiters are really friendly and quick to sort out and problems or issues and they provide fast service so you won't be hungry for long!
The best thing about Bella Italia is that you can use Tesco Clubcard Vouchers there to get a cheap meal, otherwise I don't think the food is worth the money. We went midweek and it wasn't very busy, but we had to wait a long time for our food courses. The atmosphere isn't great either. Quite bright lighting inside so not the place to go for a romantic meal out. It is next to the cinema and lots of good pubs but I wouldn't bother going there again for a meal out. It's nothing special and there are far better places in Nottingham to eat.
An amazing complex in Nottingham town centre with a restaurants for every price range (Subway - Chinese Buffet - that TGIF-type restaurant), a great fancy bar up top (Saltwater), cinema, casino, and restaurants on all the streets surrounding. A perfect place to meet up with friends and start a night out, there's always a good vibe around there.
The Salad was good, but the Pizza was one of the worst Pizzas I have ever had! Tasted and looked like it could have stayed 5 min longer in oven.
Sorry, but it was my first and my last visit!
I agree with Joullman, the salad was good the pizza was outrageously bad!
The pizza base was like a pancake and there is no excuse for serving up stuff like that. The other foods maybe better but I wont be finding out.
Dreadful attitude by the Staff. The food and drinks took an age to reach us and then some of our party were unhappy with their mains. The side dishes came out 10 mins later than the main courses. This was all at a time when the restaurant wasnt even busy. The manager was extremely rude when we complained citing that He would tell us what we would be paying for and the decision was not the customers to make Quite possibly the strangest restaurant experience i've ever had.
